units tend to wait before thorwing the nade for 2-3 sec or even more

i have noticed this in the case of pgrens a lot of times...

It usually applies to large area of effect ordnance. The only ones I know which have this similar effect is the Bundle grenade, Light Gammon Bomb, and the Satchel Charge.
