Ever wanted to lock somebody into a base? Here is how!

Play as Axis
Re-crew a dropped Maxim (I did this with Grens)
Build a half track
Get in the half track with your Maxim crew
Go into their base with flame Pio's and a Maxim

MG42's will work. Nothing works getting into the open topped halt track though.

The Ost half track can move MG weapon crews around. The other factions half tracks cannot (Soviet and USF). Is this a bug or intended based on that statement? I'm unsure.

I assume it is because units can not shoot out of the 251 HT

On a slightly related note, snipers should really be able to garrison vehicles so you can move them around on the battlefield and have a super scouting light vehicle. Just take away their ability to fire from said garrisons.

The source of imbalance was not Snipers being garrisonable in vehicles but their ability to fire from them. Removing their ability to be transported is a classic Relic over-nerf.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Thats what scout cars do at vet2 already.

Being able to hop into a halftrack to save a sniper's ass or to drive them to a distant part of the map is why I'd like to see this changed.
