I consider that the balance is really good between ostheer and soviet except lmg for grens and stug e in some maps like Minsk.

Anyway i attck the biggest problem of this game in my opinion. Okw vs soviet and Okw vs usf. (I will speak of usf vs ostheer too).




EARLY GAME ANALYSIS :

conscripts is 240 manpower

riflemen is 280 manpower

volks is 235 manpower


This is firsts units in the game ! very important.


conscripts > volks

riflemen > volks

PS : M3 i don't care, it's easy to beat t-1 soviet start with haltrack from t-2 from okw.
M20 is mobil when your raketen is not mobil ( so really useless )
Puma is a mobil counter of M20, but if Puma you have no obers for a long time. If usf spam bars with riflemen or Para with thompson, you are dead
Volks with schrek counter M20 but they are not mobil like a M20, they can't shoot too if M20 push your volks.


You can see now that the first problem of this game is early game because riflemen + M20 take a huge mapcontrol easy ( ofc if you know play MVGame ). And Conscript spam is cheat in early game ( ofc because conscripts > volks ) BUT BUT you can maybe manage the early game with okw vs soviet if you call-in 2 Mg42s.

Stuart is cheat vs ostheer ( no mobil counter )
AA HT cheat vs ostheer too
M20, AA HT cheat vs okw
stuart cheat a bit too vs okw

SOLUTIONS FOR EARLY GAME :

riflemen need to be like conscript for 240 manpower

Volks need to be like grens for 240 manpower

Kick lieutnant, M20, AA HT, and stuart from the game.




MIDDLE GAME :

Now because of the nerf of riflemen and the uppgrade of volks we can kick obers from the game. They needed obers before because with no obers okw is dead vs usf ( rifle bars, thompson, etc).

increase cost of fuel of t-3 for okw. Replace panther by Pz4 ostheer medium tank. produce a Pz4 need to cost the same than produce ostheer Pz 4. ( remember that lieutnant is kick from the game and stuart too ).

Panther is not kick from the game, i speak about him in LATE GAME part.

Give to volks faust.

LMG on grens are cheat vs soviet in my opinion, kick lmg from the game and G43 too.

if we kick lmg on grens, we need to kick ppsh from the game, and kick shocks.

If obers not exist anymore, we need to kick thompson and the other weapon for 120 muni for paras.

Kick bars and browning from the game too, for have a nice balance between inf. and not a game like between conscripts vs gren lmg --' completly Op in a map like Minsk for exemple in my opinion.

Between 2 players of same skill, we can see that Pz 2 is cheat now, because soviet can't make a t-34 at the same time because he don't take a huge map control by his start conscripts 240 mp > volks 235 mp

At-gun is not mobil for counter Pz2, that's why at the moment you need a fast t-34 for counter Pz2 ... Pz 2 is cheat now, kick Pz2 from the game.




LATE GAME : with this new balance and this new design of factions, KT stay cheat because he one-shoot inf ... Maybe we can keep him in the game if we reduce his damage against inf. He needs to be like a PZ 4 vs inf.

And of course in this case, we need to reduce extremly the % of bounce from jackson.

Put panther in the HQ for okw, all trucks convert for be produce ( like KT )

the other problem for late game is now the Tiger vs usf. We can't kick him from the game i think or we need to change the cp system. So i advise only to reduce the % of bounce from jackson ( like vs KT ).

I made the job of pqmush for 0 $ in 1-2 hours of intense reflexion MVGame :D

Very good analysis of the game although i disagree with the solutions. Too much "kicking" from the game (removing them?). This makes the game even more bland.

Sorry but removing every third unit or abillity or unit from every faction from the game is not the right way to balance CoH2.

Remove some units is a silly idea.The problem is who design the armies and the impact on the balance with 4 armies instead of only 2.

We can keep lmg on grens, G43, ppsh, shocks, bars, browning, and so lmg on volks too .... but i said this for a perfect balance.

Because of these weapons we have not a perfect balance in my opinion.

That's because i saw the impact on the balance with 4 armies instead of only 2 that i want kick some units from the game LEL

But ye the design of new factions is retarded .... And when they created these 2 new armies, they didn't balanced them between them : D

I do agree the panzer IV ausf J should be a non-doctrinal for OKW....it's a workhouse for Germany army.....

the sturm tiger rarely build or saw action but it remains a non-doc unit,I don't know which history book the faction designer read.

the book of awesome. it's probably my favorite OKW unit, but it's inherently hard to balance and it's hard to use.
