USA Flamethrowers

Is it just me or do US flame throwers (no matter if on riflemen or ass eng) seem to blow up a lot faster than Sov/ost ones. In addition I use penal flamers sometimes and they never explode. Just wondering if fact or RNG is just always blowing up flamer 1st engagement. Also Riflemen have bug they cannot re-equip flamers after destroyed

I've also noticed this for the Rifle Company flame-throwers, and I've seen other players comment on it as well. I use Assault Engineers quite a lot though, and I wouldn't say they seem to blow up any more than usual.

Penals do not have the ''explode'' critical on their flamethrowers. That is the good thing about penals.

Rifle flamers explode...eh I'd say way too much. The problem is that riflemen are mainline infantry that see a ton of actions. They're not engineers that only pop up on a flank or at a critical spot. Riflemen are destined to flamer explode.
I bought vCoH on January 3rd, 2007.
Still missing the days of vCoH 1.71. It had it's issues, like paks sniping 57s, and the strafe didn't work, but overall, it was probably the most balanced time in CoH history.
OF ruined that. CoH 2 is....balanced in a nasty way. Everyone has an equal stockpile of gamebreaking bullshit. USA is full of early game BS while the OKW doesn't get its BS until late game. It's just a question of how badly you exploit the faction's shit and how quickly, after a patch, you discover the gaping holes of bullshit Relic leaves. But either way, it's all BS. The only "BS" in vCoH that was gamechanging was the fast m8 vs a bunker.
