What happened to the 240mm

What happened to the US 240mm. It used have this cool whistle as the shells came down and then a huge explosion. Now it just looks like a regular 105mm round or something. Is it even as effective as it used to be or is it just a cosmetic change?

Ive noticed. Definitely changed. Not sure about damage since I stopped using it. Seems like a nerf but not sure.

there is no change listed in the patch notes so I'm hoping it's purely cosmetic. Maybe it was to it was slowing down the game?

This sucks when Relic takes their cool sounds and effects and then change them to something lackluster why would they do that? Like the Ostheer Mg42 now sounding quiet and weak like the OWK mg34 thats a sucky change and now both weapons sound the same detracting from the variety agian why would they do this?????

I only used it once since the last patch and can't really comment on the damage but the sound seems gone, which is a pity.
