Soviets still have no infantry based AT

Soviets really need some form of infantry based AT because currently it's a joke. Not only are guards commander specific they're also terrible and don't work at all now since the Stug anti infantry damage buff.

They really need to give Penals a Bazooka upgrade for example because currently there are so many gaps in the counter system without anti infantry based AT. They also really should rework Anti Tank grenades to make them more like stickies, really short range or (medium range that gets cancelled if the vehicle drives out of range during animation.) but yet does lots of damage. So it's harder to land AT grenades because you can't just oorah and throw it head on without any effort, but with short range you'll have to flank and out play your opponent, but when you do will be rewarded with the ability to actually damage vehicles with Soviet infantry, which would be fantastic. Because currently Soviets are way too Commander specific relying on the Commander heavy tank call ins to deal with the German armour on the base faction.

Has anyone tested out the new tutorial? The PTRS in it, if the Guards PTRS was like that, then no one would complain about this issue anymore.

Not since last patch. Now pretty much all tanks are much more lethal against infantry and the PTRS got a range nerf for some reason.

Nope I mean the Stun ability of the Guards... If you manage to stun a vehicle you can easily fuck it with at nades and shit :snfBarton:

random question, do guards have armour of 1 at the moment? so you can merge cons into them with no penalty?

Yes.
Shocks are the only infantry in game that have armor and for a good reason as they are completely ineffective unless they stick ppsh into germans butthole.

Yes, there is. The tutorial tells you to pick up a dropped PTRS and it fires rapid-fire. It actually felt useful.

They really don't need it. Im fine if it's doctrinal though. Murica from coh1 only had doctrinal AT infantry as well. Does that automatically make that fine if Americans didnt have it? No. The point is that the Germans have tanks that dont affect infantry: panther, elefant etc. Yeah the Germans get shrecks but every soviet tank is effective against su85 except the su85.

Even if Penals get a bazooka, not much will change. They need to reduce the aim times of the PTRS because they're useless against a good player.

All the AT options available and you want hand-held heavy AT too? Penals with captured schreks (not hard to make happen btw) are already crazy powerful.

Can Germans get a Jagdpanzer IV or something as good as SU-85 for the same cost? Then we'll talk.

Instead of the Soviets getting RPGs, I'd prefer if the anti-tank guns were lower in pop cap, build time, and maybe even cost.

eg. Zis-3: 6 pop, 280 MP, built time 50%
