After this game vs the Osttruppen Commander, I learned a few things:

- I can't call only 3 Conscripts because I would simply get outcapped
- My opponent could afford many Ost squads to engage the fight and capping the map while at the same time also teching to T2
- Trenches are very powerful and you can spam them on all the map for no cost
- I will always have less munitions than my opponent so I would have to save them only for important situations BUT due to the huge numbers of German squads my opponent could field (and to trenches) I had to spend a lot of munitions to take him our from houses and trenches (on a side note: a mortar is very good, but not enough vs many trenches)
- StuGs are an absolute threat for infantry or I was very unlucky this game

So, next time this is what I have in mind to do:

- Picking another doctrine that would give me more early-mid game answers to infantry and trenches: I think the Shock Doctrine (Shock Troops, 120mm mortar, PPSh, Howitzer, Strafing Run) is the optimal choice to fight the Osttruppen doctrine
- Calling 4 Conscripts squads and play the early game relying on molotovs and AT nades
- Considering that at mid game I should be starting to win infantry fights vs Osttruppen + PGs with PPSh + Shock Troops I could now choose to get either T2-T3 or T1-T4. I think I would go for the second option to get T4 faster and get an SU-76 as extra artillery unit together with the 120mm mortar to destroy trenches and then SU-85s to protect my artillery superiority from enemy tanks.

This game still shows how much early game dominance you can get after those first Ost squads and PGs rush as German, because your cheap Ost squads have fausts and they will negate any M3 you would get to stop it. In my eyes it looks like the 3 pio - T2 rush 2.0, where Osttruppen can now be used instead of Pioneers to cap the map for even lower cost than the T0 unit; and with the panzerfausts they can protect T2 infantry/vehicles from Flame Engineers into M3s and Guards into M3s, the best counter to the 3 pio - T2 rush.

I still think the cooldown to call Osttruppen should be increased and the trench should be buildable for a cost (watching the game you will pretty much understand what I'm talking about ;) )

jeez Marco! 4 cons + molotovs, even if you miss with molotov you will push ostruups out of cover and they don't shoot when they are moving. 1 or 2 Shock troops are really necessary vs them, because even on retreat the whole ostruppen squad can die. When you see Halftruck near your ostruppen, dont even bother to attack them because ostruppens reinforce time is like 1 second, it's better to kill Halftruck first ad then get rid of their inf.

Since they have redistibute resources they can spam shrecks and Railway arty later so i suggest getting some heavy armor only - T-70, SU-76 SU-85 gonna be useless. KV-8 seems like a perfect solution
