need some help countering this, I've played against this a lot, although in this replay it isn't done with any kind of unit preservation in mind, it still seems to work just as well, I should have maybe gone guards in retrospect but my mind was on close quarters at the time.

That's a good idea, I could have flanked the bunkers earlier at least that way, guards and scout car would have really helped.
Why didn't I think of that ffs

I don't even need to see the replay this guy is an abuser, not fun to play against at all just spam agrens and bunkers.

Yes, dont know why he still using this strategy. I beat him 2-3 times just parking M5-quad in his base

Yeah I come across this guy allot and he does the same tactic over and over, I just go for Penals and scout cars, works everytime
If I had to take hell, I would use the Australians to take it and the New Zealanders to hold it

well I tried penals scout cars, assgrens just tore through them, spent more time repairing them in my base than fighting with them, but maxim spam beat it pretty easy next game.
so the answer is maxim spam (actually 4 of them) followed by normal mixed arms.
