Thread: New balance changes18 Apr 2013, 11:18 AM If you put in mirror matches it's bye bye to the assimetrical balance. Which imho is awfull. One of the major reasons I fell in love is because of the assimetrical balance, wehr vs ami, that's just epic. Not only do they have different skins, skills, but they play a lot differently too. You seem to missed the point there What I meant by sun tzu is not the knowledge of the exact copy but rather, the decision making ccording to situations and thinking ahead and adapting to the surroundings to win. Also on starcraft skillcap i would say that fast gamepace and apm dependent gameplay actually reduces skillcap since it reduces the importance of decision making and strategical thinking which is what should determine the outcome of a strategy game . Time constraints should be there only to reward the one who thinks quicker and has more experience , not to reward fast reflexes or fast execution time . The winning factor should be outwiting not outclicking your opponent . Yeah, but you can't drive a formula one race if you are operating at sloth speeds no matter how sun tzu your strategy is. Thread: Mirror Match14 Feb 2013, 08:38 AM When talking about mirrors in SC2 ZvZ comes to mind. Most boring thing I have seen ever. I remember watching some match amongst top players where up until 10th min or was it 15 min. Everything they did was exactly the same with almost exact timings. Not that interesting tbh. In: Lobby

Initially, I wasn't for mirror matches, but I'm starting to see how nearly everything but realism speaks for it. I'm sure, if implemented properly, it'll be a true asset to the game. I'm for realism, but my main thing against mirrors is the balance issue. What I love about Coh is it's asimetrical balance, and with mirrors i just don't see that kind of thing anymore. In: Lobby
