Soviet Trenches would be overpowered due to the nature of the faction design. German Trenches can be burnt out with Molotovs, Engineers, Molotovs, Penals, Molotovs, and KV-8's. On the other hand, Germans have Pioneers and FHT's, of which Pioneers may be about the same, but the FHT is paper-thin and less damaging than the KV-8.
We'd just end up with a CoH1 problem, what does Brit do if Germans steal one of their trenches? It's a problem with very few effective solutions, and you have to go way out of your way to solve it, compared to the intended solution which is literally a button click away.
(Note I'm talking about Trenches / Slit Trenches, not Machinegun Nests)
You seem to forget about MHT and normal mortar/PaK.

And why you assume they will be buffed?
In right conditions they can die to MG42 crew(not gun) and evebn 251 MGs deals considerable damage to them.
They are most squishy unit in game, they can be wiped by a single PaK shell not hitting directly(happened to me more then few times).
They don't scale at all and after unitial use serve no further purpose then to feed german exp.
Spawn mechanic is the only thing they have for them for extremely squishy unit that you have no control over its weapons and LMG/SVT partisans are completely useless compared to ppsh ones. |

To clarify, I'm talking about t1/t2 into t4. Forgoing t1 might work with osttruppen sometimes...
Then as I've said, command tank allows you to skip T3 without problem.
It will handle T70 spam easily, it will put a fight against T34 and easily beat it with AT support and soviet T4 is not an issue really anymore. |
What modes do you play?
Performing a t2 to t4 stall as germans is extremely difficult in 1v1 and sometimes even in 2v2. A good Soviet player will apply enough pressure to force you into building t3.
Seriously, I think people having trouble fighting Panthers in 1v1 and 2v2 are just facing better opponents...
You can't really do well with T2T4 as germans, nor there is a reason why you would want to forgo T1 against equally skilled opponent.
You need to have both T1 and T2 to have enough flexibility to go for T4.
Having a command tank commander is also useful as it makes your infantry and PaKs more durable while you accumulate fuel needed. |

Because the amount of manpower and Tiers used in Ostheer side is higher than Russian side.
That means that, with the same amount of resources, the Russian player will have much more units in fiel than you will have.
Not to mention that Ostheer squad size is lower and you need to retreat and reinforce more often.
Snipers are only issue in early game.

Bad excuse. Squad size is also a bad excuse, because soviet sniper shoots 100% slower at max range, so german sniper inflicts more bleed.
Moreover if you don't go for T4, then cost difference between 3 german tiers and 2 soviet ones+AT/molotovs are not that off. |
Not the Rus Sniper team the real problem, the real problem is nothing effective counter in WM side, for the Rus sniper team + AT naded screening Conscript/Button capable Guards/in late game Su85+Sniper spam combo... Scout Car is nothing now, German Sniper is designed NOT to counter the RUS sniper team ...

You are complaining at the moment that there is no single unit that can handle combination of at least 3 different soviet units, including doctrinal one.

How about getting your own sniper to snipe guards? Or MG42+mortar to force them to move/lock them in one place and then use scout car? Or use MG42 with grens and your own sniper or even mortar? |
