After the .50 cal fixes/Dhsk fixes the MG34 will probably take the title as most useless machine gun.
That is a bad thing how?
Any particular reason for which you believe cheapest MG in game shouldn't be worst? |
I figured it had something to do with the projectile for the Comet's gun so I had a look in AE.
The Comet has NO PROJECTILE. What you're actually seeing is a tracer FX, same as for small arms fire. Tracers have no physical collision, so if the Comet's shot misses and scatters, the scattered tracer cannot collide with anything and trigger a hit, even if the tracer collides with the same tank because the scatter distance wasn't enough to completely avoid it.
I'm actually kind of surprised they did this, since all cannons of around 30mm caliber and up use projectiles. Only reason I can see for using a tracer is because it might have looked better. However right now it makes the Comet the most inaccurate tank when firing on other tanks.
"The new high velocity effects we're proud of".
No projectile to travel=high velocity shot effect=no scatter hits=need for higher accuracy then projectile using cannons.
This actually explains FF accuracy more then justification to its reload. |
Lelic moneymaking logic.
Step 1:
Say there will be no USF or Brits in CoH2
Step 2:
Release USF and OKW when game is dying
Step 3:
Wait for the game to start dying again and release just Brits
Step 4:
Wait again and release a new Axis faction
Step 5:
Profit!
Morale of the story:
Expansions keep game alife longer!
Who would've ever expected that? |
USF has just as much access to indirect fire as OKW has.
I must've missed USF mobile, pinpoint accurate barrage platform or cheap support gun with 100 range on default fire.
Could you help me out and show that options for USF as I've lost my glasses and can't find anything that would be even remotely similar to OKW indirect fire on the USF side. |
Everybody likes to play with the new shiny toys. Not with the old, used ones.
Fully realize this.
I'm just poking the fanboys
Thats why I'm saying give it a patch and a week for everything to return to normal(aka 4 armies, no brits outside of 4v4, axis>allies in search numbers ) |
|
I wouldn't say its underperforming -for its price-, but it definitely have less of an impact on the engagement because of inaccuracy and delay.
Its just not combat ability.
As AchtAchter said, it would be utter rubbish if you had to invest anything into building them. |
This is how axis players felt with short breaks for the last 2 years
Give it another patch and a week and it'll be back to long ques for axis. |
I'm not saying OKW one is not.
What I'm saying is, emplacements are tech progression fr brits and going for that unlock, means you HAVE to rely on it.
No one forces you to use okw emplacement, because okw doesn't rely on it in any way.
Current state doesn't mean much and is pointless to argue, so check preview if you want keep blabbing about it. |
...ummm... like OKW AA emplacement you mean...?
Yea, the same okw aa emplacement that is part of their tech, that restricts them from getting a puma and you have to rely on it heavily in that stage of the game if you don't want to go for puma ASAP.
OH WAIT! |
