Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Each time you play with new AT partner you are put in 10 placement games which are against all skill level players. It only makes sense. If you have won most of these 10 placement games, you'll be put in top 200, which means again, free for high skills to match you up with. Real skill level is determined pretty much after 20 games(10 placement and 10 "adjusting" games after placement). In: Lobby |

Scavange arty was QUITE LITERALLY an IWIN button. Air Supremacy doesn't grant you victory by annihilation 20 seconds after you click it. This is the fundamental difference. In: COH2 Balance |

More KAPOW on close and close-mid range is exactly the reason why they are useless. You know who else have more KAPOW on close and close-mid range? Conscripts. PPSH conscripts. Partisans. Shocks. Assault guards. There is no reason nor the place for penals being effective at close and mid range, because so many other units that are either more effective, have more utility or simply more firepower for the cost at that range. Penals have no role, their utility is copied by CEs with flamers, satchels are unuseable as grenades and its better to make a demo trap then satchel garrison anyway. Penals only logical route of improvment is increase in long range DPS so soviets would have a squad that would actually be effective from fighting in cover over longer distances. In: COH2 Balance |

No, I'm saying you need to reconsider that possibility and decide if its worth it for you. You know, the exactly same decision brits have to make before building emplacement or soviets before building ML-20 or B4. And please don't say that it costs 325 munitions so the end result is justified. That's equivalent to saying that a player who manages to float 700 munitions should be able to call in a nuke strike for auto win. FailFish I find this part extremely hilarious, because you've just described OKW scavenge doc arty at its prime against USF, one shooting whole USF base ![]() And brits aren't exactly muni floating army, forgo spending muni and watch yourself base locked. Additionally to that, I understand that you are in deep support of preventing stuka dive bomb from one shooting ML-20 and B4 as well as from incendiary round one shooting emplacements and forward assemblies for the balance consistency, because there is no reason why one should survive and another not as all of it are expensive investments that put a strain on the players economy. Let them upgrade 2 flamethrowers for 120 muni - DONE. Done what? You'll end up with underperforming unit with 2 flamers instead of 1. And it still makes more sense to get 2 CEs with flamers instead. In: COH2 Balance |
