Thread: Counter Barrage 14 Feb 2015, 22:21 PM if you play 3v3/4v4, it is really useful. I am using that ability whenever it reaches vet1. Since everymatch there are always mortars, zis and katyushas, that means your artillery autofires whenever its ability charged. Imagine that you dont use the ability.. You should always find the barrage of arty charged. So whenever you use the arty, you will be waited for ability recharge time + the delay between the charge and your seeing that it's charged. And also it reacts to enemy barrage weapon by the time weapon animation starts. That means even their rockets arent fired, your arty starts to rotate the weapon. Cause for example katyusha, firstly its rocket platform goes up, then it fires. Imagine that you dont use counter-barrage ability. You hear the rocket sounds (means that rockets already in the air), and then you look for the place of katyushas and then you order to barrage. So kathusya has more time to leave the area safely. That's why I found that the ability soo good. In: Ostheer Strategies

For defensive vet bonus, it may be 0.5 * def vet bonus while the unit is moving (or another modifier number). It may be 1 * def vet bonus while in cover. So, 0,5 means that veteran units move more safely on the battlefield than non-vet units (which is sense in real). 1 means that veteran units excel at not being hit in the cover (which is sense in real).
