Thread: (2 - 4) Overgrowth29 May 2014, 20:05 PM Thanks man. I think the map is at like 99.999% completion now. In: Map Sharing
Thread: Why are my trench walls pink?27 May 2014, 02:08 AM Jump back to quoted post26 May 2014, 16:49 PMgary.giles71 .... sounds like a healthy colour to me!! hahaha In: Mapping Discussion
Thread: (2 - 4) Overgrowth27 May 2014, 02:05 AM Thanks for the light info. I will note this for future maps. As for mud: I thought about it, but decided against it. I myself am not a huge fan of it, and I didn't want to force this into the map just because I have some muddy areas. I think if I'm going to use mud and deep snow, it has to be planned from the start, which I didn't do here. The absence of mud certainly does not make or break this map, so I'm done thinking about it, but may consider using it in future maps. In: Map Sharing
Thread: (2 - 4) Overgrowth23 May 2014, 02:53 AM So far i've gotten "Fatal Scar error" after making this change in game... not sure whats up with that. EDIT: This works 100%. Janne, please put together a tutorial or TOTW on this. Search lights are now on in game. In: Map Sharing
Thread: (2 - 4) Overgrowth22 May 2014, 20:35 PM Indeed. If this works, this must become a tip of the week or tutorial of some sort. I'm glad you like the map Moonchild. I'm open to all suggestions regarding atmosphere properties or other aesthetics. Thanks all. In: Map Sharing
Thread: (2 - 4) Overgrowth22 May 2014, 20:24 PM Awesome. Will try this tonight. I haven't ever used scar files or code on my maps.. interesting. Thanks Janne In: Map Sharing
Thread: (2 - 4) Overgrowth22 May 2014, 19:51 PM Okay, this looks promising, but I'm not 100% sure what I'm looking at. Can you elaborate? In: Map Sharing
Thread: (2 - 4) Overgrowth22 May 2014, 18:56 PM Thanks Janne, I'm happy you like it. I just need to get those search lights to be on... I can't figure out how to do this. They appear to be on in WB but they aren't on in the game. I looked at other posts about this and none of the proposed solutions has worked for me. Have any suggestions? In: Map Sharing
Thread: (2 - 4) Overgrowth22 May 2014, 03:11 AM Hey guys. Updates here: Updated all screen shots. See OP -Changed the atmosphere to a gloomy, rainy scene. Let me know what you think. -Added damaged section of trench, allowing troops to move into the trench without vaulting. This should allow access to weapons teams and greater mobility in the trenched areas. -Removed concrete trench bunker and replaced it with a new wooden bunker with sandbags. This bunker does not act like a building. http://www.coh2.org/file/4830/screen-shot-v2-4.jpg -Added a trench entrance between the two hedges near the northern VP. -Re-modeled the trenches. The trenches looked curvey before. This was not intended. Each stretch of trench is now straight to reflect a more realistic construction. -Shot/movement/sight blocks added around groves. -Slightly adjusted start locations. -Map description added thanks to SabreBadger, thanks man, much appreciated. -New loading screen coming soon to reflect map changes. Please let me know what you think. Improvements are ongoing in an attempt to deliver the best maps to you guys. In: Map Sharing
Thread: Waterfall16 May 2014, 14:07 PM PureBunk, you should publish this as a WB tutorial. I'll if I can pass this along. or contact MonolithicBacon or OnkelSam about it. In: Mapping Discussion
