Thread: Anti Tank Gun Crew2 Jul 2014, 20:12 PM Yes I had this bug with a stolen Zis3 gun in a theater of war mission today. The crew was reduced to 2 men after some tank fire and then I could no longer re-position the gun, nor did it fire at things within its arc. The AI enemy continued to fire at the crew until it was killed. In: COH2 Bugs

Edit: On topic, the fight was over so quickly because of some bad positioning and poor overal strategy of Jesullin. His valuable sturmpioneers were wasting their firepower fighting med-long range against conscripts in the center. That's just a waste of valuable combat troops. Also setting up shop in the center of semoisky is not the best idea with OKW in my opinion. They have troubles clearing troops from buildings and all the juicy resources are away from the center. Thread: A question about Partisan requisitioning heavy weapons2 Jul 2014, 13:16 PM Partisans used to spawn with 40hp and got an upgrade to bring them back to 80hp. This however made them extremely weak when infantry DPS was increased so they changed it to 80hp when spawning. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Anti tank weapons killing infantry2 Jul 2014, 13:10 PM The AT guns in this game are already extremely weak against infantry because all they fire is AP rounds (except for the ZIS3 barrage) which have close to 0 splash damage. These weapons have accuracy ranging roughly from 5% up close to 2.5% at max ranges. With infantry target size being 1, this means that only 1 in 20 shots from up close will hit, up to 1 in 40 at max range. I feel this is not a problem at all. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Big Balance Thread.2 Jul 2014, 00:02 AM The stripping of weapons from officer squads is not a bad idea at all. Currently the USF pay a reasonable amount of resources for their officers, but that cost also includes a tier unlock. Compared to Ostheer and Soviet teching structures, this is incredibly powerful. In 1v1 vs ostheer you can easily overwhelm the ostheer with your extra squad, superior rifle men and the AA halftrack. After that you get so many munitions and fuel that can just snowball the enemy with tanks and weapon upgrades. Edit: Making RET volley fire a vet 1 ability and removing free officer weapons would be a good way to make the OST vs USF forces matchup a lot more balanced and interesting. Right now the USF holds all the early game cards and the OST can only play extremely defensively and hope for the opponent to screw up. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Point Forward Retreat advantage for the USF / OKW1 Jul 2014, 10:20 AM I´m confused. 2 People now have said that the forward retreat is very expensive. Is this only for the USF? I've only played a few games vs OKW with soviets as I just came back from a holiday, but for the OKW it's only 200mp/40 fuel for a forward retreat/healing station + tier unlock. This is not expensive at all when compared to the Ostheer and Soviets. Ostheer can't even get a forward retreat option. A forward healing/reinforce combo is 300mp/120 ammo, and this does not even unlock any new units. Soviets also can't get a forward retreat option, and their FHQ is limited to 1 commander and is more expensive than the truck. And just like the ostheer, it does not dubble up as a tier unlock. Am I missing something here? In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Attack Ground HMG's22 Jun 2014, 21:04 PM I know at least 1 small arms fire that has collision: HMG42 with incendiary rounds. I know this because I played a guy who parked his halftrack in between one of my squads and his HMG42. His half track got shredded by his own HMG42. In: COH2 Balance
