It's OK on most tanks because the other factions have difficulties vetting up their tanks too. Only the PII vets up a little too slow in my opinion. In: COH2 Gameplay

And a lot of their units need a TON of experience to Vet even once. Their early game is also the weakest, so yeah at the very end of the game when they are about to lose their units get a bit more powerful than other factions. Really fair. 5 levels of vet is not the only thing that compensates for their low fuel income. There is also: - Low teching cost. 120(160-40) fuel unlocks all units, abilities and upgrades for the OKW. This is extremely low compared to the other factions. The manpower cost is also low and you get some nice benefits like a healing/repair/AA gun station. - Scavenge - Diverse range of units in every tier. AT and AI units are present in all tiers. Simply spending your starting 40 fuel on T2 gives you the option to build a tank destroyer. This is something the other factions have to save up a lot of fuel for to even unlock. - Resource conversion The resource penalty for OKW is completely incorporated into their design. They have many benefits over the other factions to compensate for their low fuel income. In: COH2 Balance

Soviet T1 does not do well against OKW in team games outside of the opening minutes of the game. You have to get T2 soon after and any units that you have left out of T1 are dead weight during the remainder of the match. Scout cars? Not a big threat, OKW can get a T0 AT gun to counter it. Snipers? Waste of 360 man power. Unless your OKW enemy does not have scavenger or luftwaffe doctrines, these units are just 1 simple click away from instant death by fallschrimjeagers or JLI. Penal troops? The only unit that has some use later on in the game, but not enough to justify teching T1. Conscripts, while weaker, are much more useful later on in the game. You are better of just going T2 and starting out with maxims and conscripts. You are going to need an AT gun anyway to deal with flaktracks and those maxims will stay relevant throughout the game. Not having wasted 40 fuel on T1 will also make your tanks come out faster. In: COH2 Balance

You could conceivably engine damage it and then just make a bee-line for his base/cap the rest of the map/slowly bleed his infantry to death since it was too slow to really cover a lot of the map at once. Most of the time the mapcontrol no longer mattered. You could only stop the ace if you were already winning hard. If it was an even game, with both players having the same army count, the free tiger ace would give the german player so much power that they could just move up and base rape you with their entire army. Most players were bad and only called it in when they were losing badly, or they forgot to call in an extra pio with instant vet 3 and give them a sweeper before calling in the ace. Bad usage of the unit by most players just make this unit appear to be somewhat OK balance wise. It was not. In: COH2 Balance

The guy thought that the initial incarnation of the tiger ace, a 320 damage, 2560 hp, 50 range free unit that could blitz/smoke from the get-go was balanced in 1v1. His argument was 'you know it is coming long before it gets on the field', as if that meant that you could magically pull 3 extra SU85s out of your ass to counter it. In: COH2 Balance
