Thread: My thoughts & ideas on Conscripts24 Aug 2014, 03:56 AM I think that buffing penals into a mid-long range unit will balance conscripts too. As they could Oraah against the enemy while having a support infantry behind softening a bit the defense. At the most, I would decrease their reinforce cost once T3/T4 has been built. That would made up for their lack of presence lategame while strengthening their role of cannonfodder. In: COH2 Balance

Most of the time it doesn't hit anything, but when it does usually it's a squad wipe or everyone except a single model dead. Tiger seems much more consistent as an AI tank. In: COH2 Balance

Lots of units have equal costs but performs differently, and generally one is considered better than the other, like soviet and ost mortars or hmgs. Maybe IS2 has better raw power, but probably Tiger has better mobility and more synergy with non-doctrinal units. I prefer a Tiger + 2 paks than an IS2 + 2 ZiS for example. Raw power isn't everything in this game. How many Tiger vs IS2 fights have you had without any other unit taking part in it? Just a unit with a panzerschreck could break that balance. I think the balance IS2/Tiger is very fair, considering the units supporting them lategame when they appear. I don't care if hypothetically a lone IS2 would win a lone Tiger surviving with a 5% hp, because usually that doesn't happen in my games. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Mid game? / Current Pop cap system22 Aug 2014, 04:18 AM I'd like a popcap system linked to the owned territory too. Currently, there's quite easy to make comebacks once cornered in your base thanks to powerful call-ins. I don't mind that one cornered player invests his manpower in a Tiger or ISU-152, but not having 4 ATguns in their base, 2 HMGs and 3 elite infantry units waiting for the TIger to regain territory. Thread: IS-2 Frontal Armor 22 Aug 2014, 00:13 AM The thing that came to my head when I watched that video was that this game needs urgently side armor. I agree that only the pak has something to do in that engagement, but the PzIV on the left did some good side shots and they all got registered as frontal hits. I think that the current system makes flanking too hard. Btw, I don't understand why IS2 can't be better than Tiger. Whitout guards/shocks, mark vehicle or heavy tanks I don't know how you could win a single game. You could rape that commander just spamming sturmpios. In: COH2 Gameplay
