Don't they also get set off by flame? |
It doesn't really matter at all if the different play styles are available if they are not viable.
Playing with one hand or blindfolded is also an option, but would you do it?
You are asking the guy with 97% achievement and who has played AA 6 times his opinion on self-imposed challenges?
Actually trying something different would seem a more productive use of my time than sitting on my pudding whining that relic do something because I can "only" play the same 4 commanders.
You know, because ladder rank is so important and people will respect you so much for having it rather than saying you only got it from exploiting the current meta. |
How much do you love bears? |
They are not too hot as anti-inf; though I'm pretty certain that their best range is mid to long, not mid to close.
I usually buy a couple to port shreks around |
Step 2 ???
Step 3. Profit |
This true, kill doctrinal unit with another doctrinal unit may not happen very often, especially if both are pretty rare (you almost never see duels between fixed artillery in normal matches, I had to go to the campaign to unlock that)
The B4 is still a suprise though because it hasn't moved despite the fact that gets attention as being OP and Axis commander selection is supposedly all about countering it
For comparison the largest doctrinal achievement is to get 50 kills with a Tiger (6.8%); which is more popular than getting an SU-76 to Vet 3 (6.7%)
The largest doc on doc is to kill 10 IS2s with Tigers (1.4%), interestingly the reverse is 1.1%
Which either reflects more Axis players, or that the Tiger is availible in more commanders than the IS2 |
You can only drop fuel on fuel points and munitions on munitions points.
However not all fuel points are contestable, and even on maps that are a team that is doing this will fight very hard to secure the fuel point they need even if it means giving up most if not all of the rest of the map. |
Hull down is in:
Defensive
Trenches, Tank Trap, PAK 43, Sector Artillery
Festung Armour
Panzer Tactician, Command Tank, PAK 43, Railway Artillery
Fortified Armour
Tactician, Recon, Command Tank, Elephant
Neither of the first fit in the current meta very well, and if you want elephants you will generally go Jaeger Armour to counter B4
Scopes are in:
Mechanised
Mech Gren Group, Smoke Bombs, Command Tank, LFH18
Jaeger Armour
Heavy AT Mine, Recon, Stuka Bomb, Elefant
Only the last of these tends to see any use these days

Yeah, I can see where they went with not spending RQ, but it then means that the best way to get a high score is not to use them for anything even if it means more of your guys die.
I think side missions are worth doing for what you get for them (Experience and Reinforcement), but you have to know when to go for them and when not to.
I don't actually know if you can get a higher score at easier difficultly
I do agree with you though that the scoring system should be rebalanced for future releases, more emphasis on Missions and Survival and less on not spending RQ. Also there should be some kind of penalty for withdrawing from missions
That said though, compared to the initial campaign and the TOW it is a gigantic step forward and I hope they do more like it
I feel I have beaten it now, and probably won't play it again except for "fun", however I reckon I got 100 hours or so from it and it was worth the money

How this went from discussion about supply drops to comparing panthers again?
Because of this:
I think Luft Supply is just fine in the aspect that it nullifies heavy armor for the ostheer player. They are stuck with having a panther as their biggest tank. We all know that is a piece of crap.
Doom may have a point, but he has:
- Overstated his case in relation the OKH Panther
It's not a "piece of crap", the SU-76 is a "piece of crap"
- Failed to provide any explanation of what else is supposed to do with the own fuel and pop cap after spamming supply drops so OKW is full of Panthers |
