Before someone jumps and start comparing with other vehicles, we still don't know things such as:
-Wind down (such as PV)
-Scatter
-Fire and ready aim are probably equal to other tanks
-Same with MG performance
-Did they said something about crews, limitations, cost, etc.
Ye the ocf really Showed the game is balanced. Soviets 80% winrate anyone? (In B4 hurr durr small Sample size, Show me another competetive game with such winrates in higher stages of a tourney )
IIRC that was on R6 on Angoville. What about the W/L for the finals brackets?
Not everything is brighter on the other side.
CS GO: same reason that we play with both factions, maps and modes are assymetric. I do not follow the scene, but i've seen enough matches to know that there are more oriented CT/T maps.
Dota/LoL: do not follow this games but i'm sure there are hot picks and bans due to "OP" combinations. I play HoTS and there are heroes who have 50% of ban rate and have +80% contested
Starcraft2: from what i remember, there was dominance of Terran early on > Zerg 2012 > Terran > Protoss nowadays
Fighting games: not following any but sure enough that from a roster, only 10-20% of characters are used.
I imagine that this game has a fear shear of underused and underrated abilities and this is one of those. The ability isnt bad in its own, rather the skill-level for coh2players is probaly to low for this to happen.
More like it's on niche commanders.
Defensive has never been used.
Festung armor did see some use, but pak43 has fallen out of meta and you have other commanders such as Mobile defense which provides you with command tank and smoke.
Fortified armor did saw some use, specially with button chain + ISU era, but still i see more Jaeger instead (it's also a DLC commander).
If we didn't have the feature to jump straight into peoples profile, i would had thought he was playing against "CPU - Expert" the human. There's also CPU - Easy roaming around.
The tech fuel cost delay T4 so much, then you pay so much for these tanks, yet they dont give as much shock value. (Think about OKW Panther timing and Ostheer Panther.)
Been forced to go T3 due to meta is what delays T4. Maybe it's time for OH to start paying to unlock LMG, Faust and nades and make teching far cheaper.
I'll say it again. Access to mediums for SU and USF is almost equal in cost with OH if they go straight T4 skipping T3.
There's only a 10f difference with both allied factions when USF gets Ambulance + Bars + Nades and Soviets get Medics + Molotovs + AT nades.
At this point, i think some people would prefer to be forced to tech T3 in order to get T4, but having the cost hugely reduced. This will make BP3 redundant, which could be changed into a 5th man for Grens/PG (this making it a late game upgrade).
Why didnt pre patch infantry support guns end infantry play? Why caN'T we fucking have that version back. Not this overnerfed piece of shit lelic gave us.
So WFA can have a sniper in their rosters
I dunno why we can't rollback to the stage it didn't hit with almost 100% accuracy and it only pinned when it hit dead center on a squad.
PV is fine. Brummbar needs a buff.
Now the real deal.

T4 is a tricky situation. To put it simple: meta play and timing are the issues.
SU: no one gets T4 as T3 options into call in play is way more effective and will give you an earlier way to bleed mp against your opponent. Katyusha was stealth nerf, Su85 is not spectacular and not necessary when there are other options and T34-76 has absolute no shock value. So you play heavily with light vehicles into/or call ins.
USF: long are gone the days of Sherman rushes. Most people will prefer to play a heavy infantry play with light vehicles (M20, AAHT, Stuart). LT + Captain are not rare and people would just skip major, specially if they play with Armor commander.
UKF: i'll limit to say that i think that fuel-wise T3 is too cheap. Upgrades are not necessary atm (which could delay tech) so you have a quick Centaur which is really punishing.
Teching cost for USF-SU-OH, considering upgrades as necessary.
T4 is expensive as long as you also tech T3. A soviet player going T4 with molo + At nades spends equally to OH going T4 by skipping T3.
T3 allows a counter-offensive against light vehicle play while T4 is just too passive of an option. Basically you are forced to use T3, as T4 is actually not needed most of the time.
