I dont take any game too seriously. Relic is relic and there is not much you can do directly against this. What I do take very seriously is bad leadership and player conduct for no good reason. We cant expect anyone to be a "saint" but some players show a consistent bad player conduct. Real life community or gaming community, social relations are real both ways. In short just try to be nice, is that so hard? It's the golden rule do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Self-responsibility and self-honestly (open mind/critical thinking to listen and learn new things) is key here to change and improve the social norm on this planet which are far from "civilized". It's important to be humble about this and understand we as humans has a very long way to go before we can call ourself "civilized". Not that I claim to be a saint, I just call a spade a spade. Calling a spade for a diamond is not just ignorant but also counter productive because it encourage complacency (unaware of potential danger) and dont foster positive changes that are empowering the individual rather than the opposite. What the community and each player can DO is setting a good example and/or police it self against "stats monkeys/win at all cost attitude", power hungry leaders (megalomania) and sociopathy behavior that enjoy insulting others. Game or not, all players deserve to be treated with some respect. Community trust and leadership however should not be given so easily but earned by staying honest and beeing nice to people. No honestly, no trust. Honest leaders require courage because sometimes telling the truth will make everyone feel uncomfortable. To much flattering only lead to inflated ego's/big epeens. Alot of people today forget that individualism/self empowerment which was founded by Thomas Jefferson has only been around for approx 200 years. Collectivism has been the norm for thousands of years even to this day. Individualism is still rare, collectivism is norm. Why is this important? Because if players choose their leaders only based on the social norm (collectivism) it can quickly become a downward a spiral which disempower people. As long ppl cant tell the difference between individulism and collectivism they might as well fall into the trap of complacency and essential become a victim of their own collective ignorance. It's basicly the blind leading the blind, what possible could go wrong? ![]() Want a clue that the world is still dominated by collectivism (but much less visible like the soviet union)? Go google General Smedley D. Butler which during his time was the most respected general among veterans and what he said about racketeering. Who benefit the most from war? Follow the money. Then google Norman Dodd which was the chief investigator in 1953 of the Reece Committee which was supported by Constitutional US Congressmen to "follow the money" from the Tax Exempt Foundations (the bankers have hundreds of these which is a win-win deal for them). We also have to give these psychopath some credit, they are brilliant strategic players and could beat most people in chess. They trick people into thinking completely the opposite with their charm and superior intelligence. They only use the mask of civility in order to gain public acceptance and more power. But by following their actions (follow the money) they show clear signs of no empathy and no heart for human mass-suffering. Yes the international bankers have used Tax Exempt Foundations to fund education as well and many other things like geo engineering, gm foods/monsanto to control the food supply by control the seeds, big oil/petrol dollar system, big pharma, bio fuel to tie food prices with the rigged oil price, big corporate farming (illegal banking foreclosure of small farms), political think-tanks etc. You name it, the collectivist banking have been very busy to get as much power over billions of ppl they could get their dirty hands on. One good news however, collectivism without the help of individualism is not sustainable and will collapse by itself due to its own collective ignorance like the Soviet Union. History repeat itself when people fail to learn from the past. ![]() In: Lobby |
Thread: Reinforced Wire bullshit13 Jan 2015, 17:38 PM
Rather than insulting me ingame you should try to keep more of an open mind that one of the biggest imbalance in COH2 come from the maps and I also know Jesulin have said this as well. If I had more veto left for this map I would use them because I dont like playing like this. OKW as example have nothing early game against buildings since OKW are forced to get shreaks which is poor game design imo. So early game OKW best option on maps like this are R-wire or crush important buildings with the truck (which are not really viable on this map). Yes its lame OKW have to play like this but it works. In comparison every soviet unit early game can deal with buildings. Scout cars, flamers, plenty of munitions for grenades/mines/demos, arty from at guns, maxism in buildings, mortars and snipers. Making balanced maps for COH2 are not easy due to the way Relic have designed each faction. Some maps are good while other maps its all about "abuse" which should have been removed from the map pool. So sorry for the playstyle and plz veto this map if you have enough vetos. In: Replays |

Thx for casting this long game ![]() Looking back at this, I would have been better off with ISU, 14 T34/85's is like 7 ISU's xD, also i would have teched for T4 and gt me some SU85 and Katty's, but yeah that is hinesight Yes ISU or B4 are best counter to this KT/pak43/stuka combo. Stuka will usually only recrew the B4 and because Zero arty are bugged last I checked. Currently OKW can only hard counter B4 with a base rush or arty from the elite armor commander which one shot the B4. I think the new meta for OKW fortification doctrine will be T2-T3-T1 because it allow OKW to play more reactive rather than proactive. So instead of a regular T1>T3 luchs rush, OKW can go T2>T3 obers>puma>T1 to counter soviet T3 or T2 flak HT>T3 obers>T1 to counter scout car spam. Panther are overkill if OKW want to save for a KT, so use Puma/luchs which are cheap in fuel and good combined arms. Also Obers get the vet1 toxic gas grenade to keep shocks at range. In: Replays |

vs USF: It seems to me that the power from this doc in this match up are the ability to convert fuel into munitions. So hardcore lmg gren spam and no ost. Werh have more weapons upgrade in the early-midgame which mean werh pay less manpower to get map control. So even though 50 fuel for 150 munitions seems like alot its equal to around 33 OKW fuel who with the fuel conversion from the mech truck would get them 100 munitions for 33 OKW fuel. vs Soviet: Ost spam > skip T1 > T2 (play defensive as you dont want soviet to get 2 CPs fast) a) 222s to counter snipers/scout scars/penals (no 2 CPs for guards with fast T2) or b) HT with pio flamers to counter T2 with mgs/shocks/mortars > backtech T1 depending on your need c) vs pure Cons spam > Ost spam > skip both T1+T2 > fast tech P4 or Ostwind > backtech T1/T2 depending on your need |
Thread: How to counter the US blob LMG spam ? 18 Nov 2014, 17:22 PM
Helpinghans has been using all kinds of mechanized openings for a long time vs USF. To be fair hansi is a very good player but within the current OKW vs USF meta, mech openings (puma + stuka) are less reliable than luchs + panther + obers. Stuka basicly mean that OKW has to get puma + falls/panzer fusiliers instead of panther/obers which scale much better lategame with vet. A vet5 ober rape everything and its not rare to see a vet5 ober with over 40-50 kills late game. Front armor from a vet2 panther can take more of a beating than OH tiger from range. Fortification doctrine work very well against USF because airborne have no good counter against either flak HQ or pak43 (which also counter USF pack howie by killing the gun itself). The flak HQ provide great cover for pak43 + mgs in trenches to lock down fuel. If airborne dont spend munitions on M20 mines they are also more vulnerable to flanking from panther/luchs. Without m20 mines its pretty safe even base rushing USF with a 9 minute luchs to kill his medics/ambulance. In: OKW Strategies |
Thread: 2v2okw vs double soviets14 Nov 2014, 23:21 PM
Fortification doc + pak43 + stuka are the best midgame counter, then lategame get panther or KT + zero arty to kill B4 (if possible). Stuka you need to least decrew B4 so it cant oneshot the pak43. KV tanks are to slow to be used aggressively against pak43 and volks with shreaks can deal with T34s. OKW need something similar to OH stuka bomb so OKW can counter B4 without using fuel. Soviet meta vs OKW is all about abusing some faction design flaws that havent been fixed yet. Im not blaming soviet players though, they have to abuse the game to win because some OKW units like obers are just to powerful if they go with a "standard" combined arms build without abuse. Thread: Does anyone have hope?7 Nov 2014, 00:46 AM
Hope? Yes Yes, COH2 have more potential than COH1. Maybe not so much in RTS multiplayer but as a hybrid game. Theatre of War (or something similar) can be used as a platform to expand and/or mix other game genres that appeal to a much larger player base. COH2 have a promising casting/steaming community which are doing good promoting COH2 as a fun game to play or watch. Also the eSport community is going to grow much larger maybe not in RTS but in general. Online video streaming have become more accessible and this is also why COH2 has to become a hybrid game to attract more viewers which equal more potential sponsors. My biggest concern are not with Relic but rather what type of players the game will attract in the future. No community, no future if you ask me. If the community show enough passion for the game that will eventual shine through to the devs. On the other hand if COH2 attract to many emo kiddos like League of Legends then COH2 will likely be hijacked by trolls and become pure buisness for Relic. It's also a sad fact that internet trolls has directly lead to real life suicides, both in the gaming community as well social media. Imagine if a COH2 player killed himself because of trolling and the bad press it would create for the whole community? This is a serious issue that Relic soon or later might has to deal with (proactive). But the best thing would be if the COH community would police itself. As players it's always easier to deflect blame than to look into our own mirror and take responsibility for the whole community. Personal im to old a gamer now and not playing with the same passion as before. But during the past 10 years I played EvE online I did my part to help hundreds of players achieve a positive gaming experience. Not because I care about showing my Epeen. But I know from experience that its hard work building a community which is not a magical refrigerator that is filled by mom and daddy, nor relic but YOU. How strong the COH2 community will become is totally up to how much passion each player put into the game. The "blame & shame" mentality is counter productive especially against new players that need a helping hand but are to afraid or dont have enough passion for the game to ask for help. To many dont listen nor ask for help and thats a big problem for the whole community. If new players dont have easy access to a friendly environment in which they can grow they will never show any passion for the game and will continue to be just "useless noobs". Constructive criticism is fine but apathy and elitism are a downward spiral which always end badly. L2P noob! Get skills! none of that is hardly constructive.. Then when new players finally get the courage to ask for help and what do they get? Sure there is alot of experience players that try to help but still alot that are very short sighted and 100% ego centric. The whole COH2 community would improve mid-long term, if more players would learn to keep cool heads during a match and stop bitching in public chat. Also players really need to learn not to feed the trolls because they just love to collect your tears and rage. Same goes for real life. Trolls is all about using social engineering and manipulation so they can take personal pleasure when people feel emotional upset. Personal, I dislike trolls with a passion because I have seen first hand how much damage they can cause both on the internet and in real life. Trolls are the biggest problem on the planet right now. In real life they have robbed billions of ppl even without them knowing. To play with big pro-trolls, it's not that hard to guess where the biggest rat nets of trolls are in real life. If any COH2 trolls want to learn from the pros, join Goldman Sachs so you can laugh at all the easy preys (or what GS call "muppets" = food for trolls). ![]() Internet Trolls Are Actually Sadists, Study Finds: http://time.com/8265/internet-trolls-are-actually-sadists-study-finds/ Beeing a troll is not cool! Anyone who think otherwice is either ignorant to the fact that trolling is psychological warfare or show clear sociopathic behavior themself. Sure a sociopath can cry, just not for others. Sure its just the internet but that does not change the fact that trolls are still assholes or at very least "pretending" to be assholes. Internet trolls are a serious threat to any gaming community and saying its not is like hiding under the bed saying the big bad wolf will never get to you. Balance? tbh I could not care less if COH2 get hijacked by trolls. Do Relic need to improve? Ofc they do, but the playerbase should strive to be constructive and dont act like emo kiddos playing League of Legends which will only attract more trolls. ![]() In: COH2 Balance |
