Thread: Am going to report a TK'er. Any idea if Relic takes action?22 Sep 2013, 09:38 AM This guy on my team only build two engies, then sat back and flamed us untill he could build a katuyscha. Which he then used for TKing. I rarely bother with idiots, but this was so obviously abusing the team concept. As far as I understand such reporting goes to info@relic.com, but does anyone have positive proof that they take action on it? Also: I see to my disappointment, that the chat is not included in the replay? The TKing speaks for itself, but I would have liked Relic to see the chat as well if they have any doubts. Is there any good way to salvage the chat? In: Lobby

Thread: What if ???20 Sep 2013, 08:41 AM Firstly: Allthough a Pacific battle could be narrowed down to just island battles, you would have to simulate the role of air and navy by including a lot of off-map actions. I don't think that is a good idea. It'll end up being a point-and-click game. Secondly: An african scenario would hold much of the same units that allready existed in COH1. Of course certain vehicles and weapons didn't arrive untill later. So some of them have to be swapped by earlier models. But it would not change anything in the essential mix of infantry and vehicles. Thirdly: The claim that italians hardly saw action in WW2 is completely false. They fought the North african campaign alone to begin with, constituted a large share untill its ending AND they participated at the East front after that. As did rumanians, Bulgarians and countless of other nationalities. Some of these foreign forces could be included. Fourth: We'll surely never see any units with 'SS' in it. And why really? Does it matter if the germans have just 'elite' infantry or if that elite infantry has skulls on their uniforms? I seriously don't think we need to include all the horror that it is connected with. This should stay a game that you can play relatively undistrubed by its historical context. In: Lobby

The team gets an overall ELO that's the average of the players', then the automatch looks for a team with a similar average ELO Evidently what it might be trying to do, but I don't think it makes sense. Average rating for a team isn't enough. Players also need to be within some range of eachother to make for an effective. 1 player at level 100 (made up numbers) plus two at level 10 isn't as good a team as three players each around level 40. As it is now, it feels like the automatching for team games has a slipery slope of its own: I can't get decent 2v2 partners because I got into a losing streak initially. I'll be lucky to draw somebody who is active AND knows the basics. So I keep losing 2 of 3 games and keep dropping in level. I could care less about 3v3+ because that mode is mostly for fun, but it bothers me that I'm in a pit with 2v2 that I can't seem to escape. In: Site Feedback

Thread: 120mm spam19 Sep 2013, 08:40 AM It's not supposed to be easy to capture enemy equipment deep behind lines. I don't know what you mean by 'viable', but ofc. you need to time your decrewing by having a unit nearby. One way could be to use a HT with an infantry unit in it. Most players build HTs in the early game and when tanks arrive, they never return to it, but I have found that it pays to keep one for special occasions and use it late game deep strikes where noone expects to see it. Thread: Very few cost effective counters to upgraded Grens19 Sep 2013, 08:35 AM In COH1 players also often complained about the BAR upgrade making rifles too good. I don't understand why those persons can't realise that it's a game feature to make certain units stand out and excel in a specific task. Here you have a special option for the grens to upgrade for superior anti-infantry action. Other units have other specials. Like the penal flamethrower. If all units on both sides were equal, how interesting a game would that be? In: COH2 Balance
