ive found that the Stand Fast ability combined with the British Brace ability creates structures that are way to hard to kill way too early in the game. with no cooldown for Brace, emplacements can survive almost any attack and recover way too quick. i think that maybe after the brace finishes that there should be maybe 5-10 seconds before the emplacement can Brace again. this is just my sugestion.

I 100% agree with a lot of the complaints of this thread. The problem I see Soviets have when it comes to the Molotov is that other than forcing units in cover or occupying a structure to move it has very little use. All other factions’ base infantry have access to grenades that can when used correctly punish opponents that are not paying attention. The Molotov simply does not do enough damage for its munitions cost to throw.
We have all seen a well-placed grenade or rifle grenade wipe a squad with one shot. When was the last time anyone saw a Molotov do that? They both cost the same to use why is one able to do so much more damage than the other for the same cost?
If they are not planning on buffing the stats on the Molotov (which is very probable) I would suggest that it should be automatically unlocked when T1 or T2 is built. Or as suggested before include it in the AT grenade unlock.
As of right now it’s a tool that is never used because it’s only useful in very specific situations and never makes back its cost in both time researching it and in the munitions cost to actually throw it in combat.

The intent of these changes is to provide the opposing player an opportunity to react and counter the usage of button. Currently, the ability is very one sided, it provides the Soviet player with a quick and easy to execute vehicle snare without much counterplay in-between. By providing the opposing player with a way to react, the counter-play relative to unit positioning is better defined, thus reducing the receiving player’s frustration when the ability is executed.
Speed reduction from 0.1 to 0.33
Added rotation reduction of 0.33
Acceleration from 0.1 to 0.5
Deceleration from 8 to 2
Main gun set to active
Main gun rate of fire set to fire 1.56x slower

So since I'm out of town right now and cant play this new patch I have to ask those who have actually played "is it even worth it to build Guards Rifles now?"

I ask this because the Guards Rifles are the only infantry the Soviets have that have AT weapons from the start. now it looks like tanks can roll right on top of them and except for being slowed down they aren't hindered much at all. And since it looks like they can still fire while Button'd they can simply kill off the infantry squad.

To be honest I never felt SOviet's were OP but they are my favorite faction so i'm a little biased, but this patch looks like it hit the Soviets with the Nurf stick hardest.

Im betting its going to be 80% Axis vs 20% Allies tonight when i get home.

well for one thing the E8 is a call in tank for the rifle company commander while the panther is available as a core anti armor tank with an extremely heavy front armor that bounces shots from everything including all the AT grenades the allied forces use.

also with the one possible exception of vet rifle squads, the E8 is the only thing in the Rifle Company commander that is worth having.

but that's just my opinion.

Also keep in mind that if they go for an early Schwerer Panzer HQ then they either skipped Battlegroup Headquarters or Mechanized Regiment HQ. If they built the Mechanized Regiment HQ you can rest assured that they are converting munitions to fuel and are trying to get a Panther as quickly as possible. But this means that they are not healing any of their infantry. this is the best time to start spamming tier 2 MG's mortars and ZiS. If you are locked into tier 1 its a bit more tricky. the best way to kill the Schwerer Panzer HQ with Tier 1 is with satchel charges... it will tak between 2-3 to kill it so that means you will need to attack it all at once with preferably 4-5 units. 1-2 to (eng squads, conscripts) to draw fire and the penal squads to rush it to throw sachel's. mind you you will also need about 135 munitions to do this.

also keep in mind that if he has gotten an early Schwerer Panzer HQ he probably doesn't have much unit presence on the map. Allot of times (most of the time in my experience) its more efficient to simply ignore it and attack all the other parts of the map, and starve him of resources, delaying his ability to built heavy infantry/panthers while building up your forces in preparation to the Panther that will be on the way. I usually do this but mining all the choke points that it will take.
