I thought you where reasonable and unbiased.
I see now I was wrong.
I shouldnt have bothered offering the benefit of the doubt.
I didn't say anything that is unreasonable or untrue.
Didn't mean to be personal either. Sorry if I sounded like I was.

I'm pretty sure in the unit description says "increased resistance to suppression" I might have confused this with bulletin info though. In: COH2 Balance |

Okay, three times in the last game: Shock Troops have increased suppression resistance by default + they can get another 10% of the bulletin. This could be something that needs to be look at, but they're reworking bulletins now so they're ready next patch. In: COH2 Balance |

Better arc of fire, better rate of fire, better pinning. Maxim long range suppression is better now but MG will still pin you faster. All that German players whining that MG42 is crap now are mostly bad player that relied heavily on MG42 in the past and now they have problems adopting the changes. Had couple of games against decent Germans today and MG42 is still a powerful tool and great support weapon. In: COH2 Balance |

Yes, but MG42 is still a better HMG than Maxim to offset that. In: COH2 Balance |

To answer highlighted question: And they still do just that. MG42 still performs better than Maxim. German Mortar is still more effective than Soviet one, due to the rate of fire. PaK still performs better than ZiS in general. In: COH2 Balance |

You don't listen, do you. Go through this topic again and you will find all the answers here. All the whine here and on official forum shows how heavily Germans relied on MG play. I do realize that with changes of this magnitude adaptation takes time. MG42 is only affected by 25% more damage intake when flanked. It's 25% damage not 25% less health as well. Disproportion in squad size whas there from the beginning. How come it was not the issue before and now it is. In: COH2 Balance |

I base my judgement on my observations, my own experience and on data provided. This behavior I've observed in game. I've always used MG42 as a supportive unit. Never built more than one and never sent it alone. It worked for me before the patch, it works now as well. My usual BO is G, MG, G, some mortar when needed (or MHT), T2, SC, PG (dont upgarde them with Panzerfausts) or 3rd G squad T3 for PzIV building PG squad (upgarde with shreks) in the meantime. After that I'd adopt to what my opponent have. In: COH2 Balance |

How about you stop using it the way you've used it before the patch? I see this a lot in the recent games. MG42 shouldn't lead the attack anymore nor should it be a stand alone defense point/ unit. Move it behind your Grenadiers line and use as a support weapon it was always supposed to be and you will be all right. In: COH2 Balance |

If you're not then what's the point of your complains? Sorry but smaller squads are irrelevant to how MG42 behaves on the field in current meta game. 25% increased damage was supposed to prevent MG42 from being to robust. We all have seen youtube videos in which Germans HMG teams behave like terminators. This is not the case anymore due to the recent patch. In: COH2 Balance |
