Thread: Commander Overlap a serious problem22 Nov 2013, 11:19 AM If this or similar change doesn`t go through, it would be nice to at least have a way of getting rid of the commanders you don`t want anymore (default and premium alike). Currently I feel swamped in commanders and more and more are coming. I have a stable roster of around 6-7 commanders I use for each side (new ones may get incorporated, others discarded as time goes on). I feel like there is a growing pool of unused garbage commanders in my game that are just in a way. I would welcome an opportunity to for example exchange them for some kind of "relic points" which could in turn be used to purchase a new skin or a faceplate or even a new commander or at least get a discount on these. Relic could also use these points to sponsor tournaments etc. In: Lobby

I understand the current DLC model is not very flexible when it comes to Commanders but this would really be the best solution to improve Commanders. A possible compromise could even be the one Barton suggested, and if Relic would be willing to change the system we could definitely work on a very detailed proposal to rework the current system. Jump back to quoted post9 Nov 2013, 16:32 PMsevenfour The main issue is that such a move would mean abolishing many commanders that a lot of people bought with real money which would create a huge sh*tstorm of rage against Relic, people would call them thieves, demand their money back etc. It`s unthinkable. I don`t think there is a way around it without refunding everyone and good luck to the guy who would suggest that to the corporate heads with the argument "But it would improve gameplay...". Another thing is pumping out new commanders generates nice cashflow for the devs/publisher. If you couldn`t recycle anything it could lead to less new commanders and smaller cashflow as a result. It would be nice to have lesser number of more archetypical commanders but I just don`t think Relic can go back now. In: Lobby

You can`t ever stay stationary with this unit since unless you kite all the time and maintain almost max range you`ll get AT naded which means death in like 95% of the cases. Range and LoS are only 10 difference iirc, as well as Snipers AI tendency to move incloser than it needs to, make it function only under perfect circumstances, and even then the 6man Maxim can soak 1-2 shots and simply reposition into building or LoS with negligable MP cost. The soviet industry however needs to be hit with the nerfhammer a bit harder imo.
