And now we have an upgrade that barely makes a difference yet takes up a commander slot. I'd rather have it be a good upgrade at a higher cost than a useless one at a cheaper cost.

I think it's an interesting change:
it might be a small upgrade but it will let you win engagements with vanilla grens, and won't shred pgrens to pieces like before.

Not having cutoffs on semois is a bit strange but overall is a change for the best. Germans finally have a chance since the building-heavy territories are no longer that important

The input lag fix is, simply put, fantastic. Microing an M3 scout car and T70 against the computer just to test it out and I'm thrilled with the results.

there's plenty of other potentially lethal abilities, katyusha precision strikes, all the howitzer and pretty much any late game indirect fire, guards nades have some wipe potential too.
germans have sector art, werfer vanilla strike has more potential than katyusha's vanilla one, light artillery if enemy is asleep.
I don't think it's so much of an issue with specific abilities, but a side of the 4/6 man squads asymmetrical balance.
While it's true that soviets have more chances to take down a full-models squad, it's also true that sov squads are less likely to be fully manned.
What I mean is that a 4 men cons squad, albeit needing more babysitting, will still remain in the field, and can go down to mortars/bundles/rnades as easily as a german squad.
mortar precision should work a bit like the zis barrage, plenty of very accurate and less deadly shots to give you time to react.
IL2 strafe is ridiculous and needs at least to have the first strafe delayed.
but anyway I think we all agree that if something has to be done balance-wise it's nerfing sov osw capabilities and not buffing german ones

I was really pissed seing Barton lose that game, the 2 main issues to me are:
- M3s should always be killed by a faust, since they carry engineers they can be repaired and be back in the fight in a sec with no penalty right now.
- Mark target is just too good to be in that commander, and its cooldown is too short.

Other than that I don't really think any rational balance issue has been highlighted, yes, 7 t34/85s are strong, OMG!
Their price is right and it comes with the price of having to wait for 2x the resource of a single tank, while the opponent can force you off the map. Barton didn't exploit that and it lost him the game

If you think team synergies are fun try to face multiple Elite vetted Lefh 18's and laugh
