I've used this doctrine a few times now, and I have to say that it always ends losing to tanks unless I go T2 anyway. But my playstyle isn't rushy and for someone with a more offensive style it may be different. I'd like to see replays of successfull early advances with this doctrine. ive had good games with it. the strengths they have complement a t1 start. the munitions is supposed to be spent all in mines and you are supposed to mine with your engineers as you cap territories. so you push mine and then soft retreat lurring players into the mines. then you can go for t3 or t4 as prefered. i havent wont with it. because i am still adjusting to some manpower requirements and the low fuel requirement of the commander kind of dizzies me. It's allready free. because the time that they take to be built vs their use. does not match. by the time you built it. 1 the fight has has already begun a while ago. 2 you have to move elsewhere. But I assume that Panthers and everything above that have heavy crush as in COH1. Since TTs are free, it should be that way, but alas it's no solution to the Tiger Ace then. panthers cant crush the tank traps. dont know about tigers but i am sure panthers cant. its a tank trap is not supposed to be crushed. withouth problems. the defensive commander can actually be usefull the babyface commander AKA T2 commander AKA comunity commander AKA turtle commander. floats munition like mad. i´ve had 1000 munition floating with it. that is like 30 mines! more than 100 infantry mines! etc etc In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Upcoming Balance Changes14 Nov 2013, 13:21 PM i don't like the idea. i do like the faster build times. but going to halving their times seems like a drastic measure. (wich i hope is being taken to hot fix it later) increasing the manpower will allow people to start with early penal battalions and i know people say they are shit. but they are not. i really kill a lot with penals and i think making them come earlier in terms of extra manpower and lower build times added together would be overkill. this will lead people to complain about penals and an eventual nerf to a unit that does not need to be Nerfed.
