It isn't spammable, it doesn't do too much damage, it doesn't have too much armour or health, and it doesn't have too much penetration. For what it is, a mid game tank that gets countered by the next tank up, it's a perfectly fine tank. Panthers are also fucking awesome, don't know what you people are talking about. Do you even play this game? E8s are, by far, the best medium tank in the game and can carry you through the entire mid/late easily. They're the USF equivalent of the T34/85 - which we've seen countless times completely dominate the mid/late game in the highest levels of play. Please show me a 1v1 replay of two top 100 players where the Ost Panther is even remotely useful. Sorry to break your delusional fantasy but the Ost Panther is probably the worst performing tank per cost in the game currently. I still don't like the OKW Panther, but at least it has 5 levels of vet and significantly better stats to make up for the absolutely ridiculous cost. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Action Items: Balance Feedback Required!26 Jul 2014, 19:18 PM The durability of Soviet weapon teams is largely fine especially considering that they perform worse than the Ost counterparts in pretty much every area other than durability, and the DPS of German squads. Maxim spam is really only an issue in team games. I don't know how they could be nerfed in team games but still be useful in 1v1. Maybe try 5 men or something... or making Soviet snipers more susceptible to counter sniping so that in team games the German sniper is more viable, since he tends to hard counter t2 spam, but gets countered pretty well by t1. Sometimes resisting the trolls can be difficult xD I think the most interesting thing in this video, to me anyways, is Dane's opinion on Ostheer. I agree that they're the most bland faction, but I think they're the strongest 1v1 faction - except for on a couple hyper-urban maps. And his opinion that Volks are "a failure." They're freaking great at what they do... And his comparison of the Su85 vs Jp4... "The Jp4 can't deal with heavy armor because it lacks penetration." Su-85: 200/190/180 Jp4: 200/185/170 Yeah. Dat lack of penetration. Let's not forget that Jp4 has FIVE levels of vet, significantly more frontal armor, the ability to cloak, and is less of a tech investment x_X... Jp4 is a far cry from "god awful" it's good. In: COH2 Balance

Especially when they throw out "fanboi" and other such phrases so liberally. Not trying to be elitist but you do have to play all factions to understand balance properly, and you have to be pretty decent at the game... @VetLol specifically - yes it is obvious that USF is too strong at the moment, and that OKW is probably too weak. People aren't necessarily disagreeing with you on that statement. Mostly that you're valuing Dane's opinion to the exclusion of all others. According to you, or so it seems, Dane is the most neutral player in the community while people like myself, Ivan, Cruzz etc have some extraordinary bias/hidden agenda - you/Dane are the biased ones =/ In: COH2 Balance
