You play a journalist, who gets involved with the resistances of different countries. The game is more focused on sabotage and small scale combat rather than large scale scenarios. Maybe adds more background story to it, but from what i have read, the journalist becomes a rambo soldier in the end. Maybe it will change and turn out to be good. I watched once a youtube video about a mod for ARMA, which was a fully game to buy on steam. There you take command of a german platoon on the eastern front, leading your soldiers through the battle.
