no offense, but game is already and has always been about puppies and kitties, and luckily for us, otherwise it would not be the fun arcade style RTS that we all loved for so long.
I played Men of War: Assault Squad for a while, loved it and tried to bring on it most of my COH friends. For 80% of them it was impossible to get into it because it was too "realistic", too hardcore, eventho the shooting distances there arent even 1/5 of what they were in the reality. But in in MOWAS, and thats my points, units pretty much have their own real role that they used to have in WW2, unlike COH where tanks have a "life bar" and everything is working throughout totally fantasy modifiers, which we actually all love, otherwise we would not be on this forum.
Tanks shooting at 10meter distance and infantry not dying to 1 rifle shot are puppies and kitties.
This just to repeat again that "realism" is not where Relic is heading on and therefore should not be an argument "against mirror". |
mass arty... |
pretty sure we all wrote our name there already...I wrote it at page 30 or something. seems like only the first pages people got added |
i find it odd, its like Relic is not giving the possibility to alpha players to contribute to resolves issues that need to be adressed (and im not talking about balance stuff but rather cpu spec related issues). I can understand they are busy, but since feedback is one of the main post of alpha/beta stages, they should give this acces question higher priority in their working time. |
I hope they will keep it because it offers 2 match-up instead of one so more diversity. This isnt SC2, basing ur argument on "in SC2 mirror are boring" makes no sense since SC2 is a traditional 90s RTS style which has very less in common with COH serie. A much more pertinent comparison can be made with DOW2 mirrors which were quite decent imo |
well obs mode coming probably little late after release is not the major concern we should be having about COH2 release imo. Anyway replays will be there to allow game analyses and it seems that many people like (and are able) to stream while playing which will give the game some visibility among the rts commnunity in general. Ofc it would be better to have obs mode for tourneys straight away but things like server stability, automatch/ranking system come first for the majority of the players. |
didnt really understand what uprades (except flamerthower) the units had.anyone knows and care to tell me plz?
with maxim 6 man squad, looks like flanking will somewhat lose a little of its importance, since the crew might resist more...
btw is the gameplay slowler? I might be wrong but I got this feeling |
I hope for less moderation and more savoir-vivre in here. Also, less childish debates...
are you going to have clan support in this forum? I think its a funny thing if you can reach a critical mass. Also you should try to make more advertisement if you wanna get every randoms from gr.org and the non-english speaking community aka tw/jp/korea mostly
