Congrats on the success. But as a fellow streamer, I don't really feel like anything we do merits any personal monetary gain whatsoever. Its as simple as downloading a background recording software and interacting in chat while we play games we would have played anyway. Being a active youtuber is like a part time or even full time job for some people. They spend hours a day recording stuff so that hopefully if they are lucky, 15-60 minutes of it will actually be worth watching. Then they do their own unique thing, whether its be funny or give analytical commentary for the duration of the footage, or whatever else makes them special. And only after you have put in the effort and/or creativity to have content worth viewing, you still have to spend hours editing and encoding it. So basically what I'm saying is don't collect $200 as you pass go, give it all back to the viewers through game or hardware giveaways like most other streamers with subscribe buttons do.

I'm not saying that because I want to potentially win some good shit for $5, I'm set in the money department for now and I don't watch often enough to have a good chance at winning stuff (no offense). And I'm not really jealous of the viewer numbers either, I actually prefer chat that can be read opposed to walls of text and emotes quickly cascading down the window. On youtube there is a pretty obvious correlation between expertise/effort and channel growth, but twitch is pretty low maintenance (even sushidad made your overlays for you). Do you really think its fair to collect money as part of an online popularity contest? Maybe your intentions were to use this as a way to fund giveaways and I apologize if thats the case, but the thread title just screams "Hey I can collect $5 from you guys easier now!"
