General Information


Thread: Current 1v1 Ostheer Strategies?28 Mar 2019, 06:56 AM I find it really hard to use Ostheer for 1v1s lately. Been having losing streaks. Before I had great success using German Infantry and Mechanized Assault, even getting to level 16 with these commanders. I feel like in every match I can't catch a break with the sheer amount of enemy infantry. I would field two HMGs but they get whittled down by overwhelming firepower even in garrison or cover. Then that is compounded by early/rushed light vehicles. So I'm almost always on the defensive, boxed in with only having my critical territories. Anyways. Large maps I use German Infantry and for Urban maps I use Mechanized. BO for German Infantry: HMG - Tech - Gren x3 - Tech/Medic Bunker - Scout Car/Pak - Storm - HMG - Tech - P4 - Tech - Panther/Brumbar/Rocket Truck For Assault: HMG - Assault x3 - Tech/Medic Bunker - Scout Car - Pak - PanzerGren - HMG - StugE - Tech - P4 - Tiger Any advice would be appreciated. Thread: 1 vs 1 OKW strategies vs Soviets17 Nov 2018, 00:18 AM I need advice with dealing with Soviets using OKW. I recently find it really difficult to win against Sovs. Frequently I face early game M3 Rush + Penal Spam. Mid game Penal + Guards spam, T70. Late game two T34/85s. Some variations here and there. If I can survive early game and mid game, by the late game I just run out of steam. Volks can't seem to cut it by late game. My general build order: Early Volk - Volk - Volk - if M3 is present Rak - Truck - Volk - Mech Mid Luchs - HMG - if T70 is present Puma or Rak- Truck - Flak Late Elite Infantry or something, anything - Panther Commanders I equip are Falls, Spec Ops, Fort. I really don't intend the mines I place to maim infantry. I wanted to let these snare a vehicle or two but they kept getting detonated by things that aren't vehicles. Roads are an obvious choice but vehicles don't always go through 'em. Where should I place them to lessen the chance of unintended detonation? Additional critique is welcome. Thanks in advance. Need advice on dealing with blob sweep. Most of my Riflemen were wiped by Sturm and Volks clump that go directly against their retreat path. What should have I done differently to avoid the wipes? Thread: Need advice on facing OKW in 1v1s.25 Feb 2018, 03:25 AM I’ve used it before Advance Warfare. The issue I have with it is that the Radio Intercept messages for OKW have ostheer voicelines and others none at all. I like Combined Arms because I have access to the soft at support through the Guards. And a lethal anti-infantry loiter planes. I’ll try AW again and see. So I revise my initial build order to 3x Conscripts, 1 Combat Engineer and 2 MGs. In: Red Army Strategies
Thread: Need advice on facing OKW in 1v1s.24 Feb 2018, 16:02 PM I was doing okay for a while. Then I wasn't. I usually go with a conscript opening. Recently, I capture with the Combat Engineers then retreat them and get T2 after the third conscript. Then I get another conscript or MG or mortar. My recent matches, this opening gets blunted fast. I try to find favorable engagements with the conscripts but I'm not so sure about this approach anymore. I mostly play with the Combined Arms Tactics. I like the PPsh on the conscripts.
