Hey mod team! You guys realize that if these changes go live, that USF and UKF have an insane advantage since they have superior infantry and a frp still?
Considering Relic's patch frequency, this wil be months of unfair advantages to players that have acces to these abilities whilst others don't.
Well getting all tiers doesn't work for me since you get all those free squads and I don't have the best micro in the world, so I can't keep an eye on all of them.
It also depends on what kind of game and opponent you get. I rarely have a particular build for USF, but I do like to get an at gun early and a pak howi eventually. So sometimes I am forced to get both the Captain and the LT.
Most of the times however, I simply skip the LT and get a Captain and then go straight for a sherman. I really find the sherman to be one of the best tanks in the game because of its offensive smoke capabilities, its HE shell and its decent performance vs a P4 considering its price.
Getting all tiers as USF isn't something that is really needed if you look at the faction closely. Most doctrines, if not all, give you the ability to skip a tier or more than one tiers! For example airborne can allow you to skip tiers because of the airdrop at gun and 50 cal and go straight for shermans. The armor doctrine allows you to skip the last tier all together...
On a side note, I miss being able to call in an airborne at gun and have it reinforce by air haha.
USF mortar still sucks compared to ost one, usf machine gun sill sucks compared to MG-42...you know, Ball rolls both ways my friend.
Aditionally, if by fielding a 222 you force the brit player to side tech and get a AEC, you already got a great advantage of it....and brit player has to get the AEC as its mainline infantry lacks snare....
USF mortar still sucks? It was freaking op for months and now it just has terrible range. Its accuracy, rate of fire and its set up and pack up time are still great. The 50 call is a very good mg and better than the maxim and the mg34. It also rapes light vehicles. It just doesn't work well vs ISG or mortar spam..
Yeah but you forget that Brit teching is the cheapest in the game and the fastest too. Going an AEC isn't really that much of an intensive side tech to begin with.
Isnt P4 suppose to be better than t34. How come so many of my p4/stug shots either bounce or miss. The t34 always penetrates AND it always kills an infantry model when it shoots. I even glided and timed my shots perfectly when moving with P4, why such bad rng consecutively?
Should I play defensively against t34?
As for the P4 vs T34 matchup, the p4 is a good and reliable medium generalist. It is good vs infantry, good vs tanks and sucks vs heavier tanks, just like the T34. However, unlike the p4, the T34 can struggle vs medium tanks and its performance is mainly rng based.
Your P4 should always be supported by your units, as should your T34. Keep your grenadiers close to your P4 and let them support each other. A pak 40, if you have one, could be in the vicinity also. Your P4 is pretty expensive and rewards you when you keep it alive and let it acquire veterancy, so don't throw it away mindlessly and do not sent it in unsupported! The reason most people go balls deep with a T34 is because it is very cheap, you can have another one in a short while. This will not happen with a P4, so be cautious!
Be mindful with the vet 1 Blitz ability. This ability is mostly used to get out of dodge in pesky situations, but you could use it to make the P4 shine. Use it offensively, to suddenly overwhelm your opponent's tank, emplacement, at guns or whatnot!
counter it with tanks... dont fight inf with weaker inf all the time try to mp drain with tanks
The problem is; your weaker infantry can't hold the field, meaning you will have less resources than your opponent, which means your tanks will arrive later and most likely later then his or hers.
This is a downwards spiral that can be very demotivating to play against.
I have seen Imperial Dane use a solid strategy where he gets a couple of conscripts. He then got a halftrack to support his conscripts with and allow them to reinforce on the field. He then moved into t34s.
Can't recall his commander, might visit his Twitch channel and see his previous streams. I believe it was two nights ago.
