Or at least, try to look at it from the bright side. It makes realism sense, of course, but I have no resources to stake fires following retreat paths, and retreating or being driven off by your opponent is already punishment enough. The only other thing I can think of that they could give us is patch support, which we very probably will get. I don't get the DLC hate either; as long as it doesn't detract from the product you buys or feels taken out, it's just bonus content. And yes I do prefer the Blizzard approach, because, you know what? They actually change the game, BUT THE CORE REMAINS THE SAME, Broodwar and SC2 are very different games, but they do share the same ideas, the same mechanics... Then go play one of those games. What else is there to it? I just tried to lay out why they do what they do from what I've learned from them the last few years. If you don't like it then don't. I think they're changing their games from game to game. Is it always good changes? No. Is the product as polished? No. Do they sometimes change too much? Yes. That being said, I've enjoyed what they've put out, and I know that I'll get something new and interesting every time I put down money for one of their games and so far I haven't been disappointed. And yes I'm pretty much talking about OF, ToV and CoHO. But you can also add DoW2 to that list, if anyone has played the original DoW he'd know why DoW2 is the most utter shit ever(maybe even worse than CoH1 expansions...) I think you're too stuck in what the game was. I enjoyed DoW immensely, same for DoW 2 and CoH. I don't compare them because that's just not what Relic does. They don't expand on a game in their sequel but instead they create a separate experience. This does make their games lacking in polish that you can see in for example a Blizzard game, but it gives something new and (usually) interesting. If you're gonna follow Relic games you might as well get used to it honestly, or you'll spend a lot of time complaining about what it should be when your idea of what it should be is so clearly different from theirs. I don't see how they prove their incompetence by poor balancing. To me it mostly seem to tell of what priorities they have. Thread: 4 things that would make CoH2 instantly better28 Apr 2013, 15:36 PM Just had a game on Prip were I stole 2 mortars and 2 MGs, had 4-5 more support weapons around the bottom that I couldnt recrew without capping myself, and I just sat there with ten squads holding the bottom while my teammate held the top. Since he had enough paks and MGs to hold the middle VP for most of the games (that place is chokepoint city) he could drag the game out for 40 minutes. He also only had his closest points under control (1-2points+1ammo) but could still crank out new infantry units and tanks. It was ridiculous. In: COH2 Gameplay
