Thread: OKW Sector Assault needs to be fixed ASAP17 Dec 2018, 08:33 AM I have a game with my pals on 4v4 where we brought up 2 AA guns, and trying to spend other resources on AT and AI role infantry/tanks units. Is not enough when other 2 axis players using sector artillery with 4 LeFH barraging our end non-stop. I am wishing this can be fix as the resource allocation is unfeasible on the ally side. Till today, and this came from Osteer main for the axis side, i rely more on my double Grenadier more (Sometimes triple if needed) on the assault until i saw they change tactic then i switch to pzgrenadier. Seriously i personally think 5 man gren is really dumb. Strategy should be used on adapting what field your opponent brings out. Not like "I want my grenadier to hold out a blob of shocktroopers" In: COH2 Balance

You cannot advance on Volks or Grens because they will pick your men off as they approach. Early in the game Volks and Grens are behind cover or their own sandbags as you're advancing. Yes, again is really situational, as if you turn tables on volks or gren trying to take position while fighting against rifles whoms already in position can be the same thing. Is really depends on what situation you're going to put your rifleman or vise versa. Are they being supported with other infantry, are you bringing your own infantry, how many do they have vs how many do you have. What units within your hands can you use to counter their strat etc etc etc. If lets say a volks squad alone behind green cover, and i have 2 rifleman needing to take over that position, 1 squad will take yellow or green cover and engage, while another will swoop in from another angle and attack it's position. Again is really depend on what given situation you're in and how you solve it, and what grounds you can move to make use of it. In: US Forces Strategies

Thread: OKW vs Conscript+PPSH or Shock troops22 Oct 2018, 12:24 PM Obers are your greatest Unit on dealing Elite Infantry with no commander requirement, except for STG+Scope weapon. And with 340mp requirement is damn cheap to push out and start chasing away any ally infantry thats coming towards you. But do keep in mind of the Ally's counter ober units like Scott, Sherman, Katyusha, t34, Cromewell or even Centuar as they are specialize AI units. Get some Raketen or Puma or P4/P5 to back those unit up. Again is how you play those strategy to make it workable on the field of what your opponent is bringing out. In: OKW Strategies

Which gives you more opening for P4 against infantry blob and at least some tank engagement like t34 or Su85 for some matter. STG would win against ppsh on mid range but never on close range as it would be the PPsh's role to kill you off on close range. Mines are also a way to keep them from moving towards you. Have Volks support your luch as well. And always keep in mind if you're in a situation where you have 1 or 2 squad of Volks facing blob of Cons ppsh, flame grenade is your friend and just constantly play range against them, back off if they come close. Or otherwise just retreat and mass your own blob like up to 3 to 4 volksgren to face against those blob, remember to get raketen in between bringing volks to fight off against T70 or SU76 In: OKW Strategies

Though yeah i rely HE a lot on my sherman, which hence is it even reliable to even switch back to AP even though it would bounce most of the P4 armor In: US Forces Strategies

Don't use them as spearhead but to flank. Which hence is becoming a situational tank. As not all times where you were given an opportunity to flank around, mines or AT will usually welcome them if facing against a better / more prepared opponent. And even if there's an open route to flank, it still require some time to bring in Sherman tank to initiate flanking maneuver. I would agree that spearheading shermans isn't a great idea too as Panther or Tiger could just finish off, but at most though you'll find yourself on that situation more often if surrounded. Unless you bring captain with AT gun. Or double RE with Zooks. In: US Forces Strategies
