Thread: OH Sniper1 Apr 2015, 19:05 PM @Don't know: Today you just killed my sniper with your M20 by chaising it into the base, after u forced a retreat of it. You didn't have any problems doing it.... Conclusion: Sniper still dies against hard counter. Thing that is changed: sniper doesn't die from looking at it. In: Lobby
Thread: USF vs Ostheer still horrible MU1 Apr 2015, 13:45 PM the new super combination of pioneers and MG42 does a pretty good job against usf. Frontal "Yolocharge" against MG42 makes you lose your squads. That + better sniper buffs Ostheers early game in a good way (combined arms!!!! ). Only problem still is the fast M20, but now you can face it not already beeing on the backfoot. In: Lobby
Thread: Assault Grenadiers18 Mar 2015, 15:36 PM I think they are fine. In combination with LMG Grens they do a ok job as a kind of meat-shield. They also offer Ostheer to get some faster capping in early, if they are the first thing you build. I often use them in midgame with a halftrack for a kind of "Terran drop-harassment style". But I am still not sure, if that is good version to play them ..... In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Ostheer vs usf matchup 19 Jan 2015, 22:19 PM How I experienced "typical" USF-Ostheer (maybe a bit of satire): 0-5 mins: Grens are getting raped by rifles 5-10 mins: situation gets better for Ostheer (thanks to LMGs and 222/251) 10 mins: Sherman hits the field, if there is no pak/Pzgrens without Schrecks, Ostheer gets killed 10-15 mins: Ostheer losing all mapcontrol, except of some small parts. Rifles are also getting LMGs-> grens are getting raped again ~15 mins: Panzer 4 gets on the field and gets instantly counterd by a Jackson 15-25 mins: Ostheer try to hold some parts of the map and try not to get killed by E8 etc. If there is no commander with tiger from Ostheer -> USF win ~25 mins: -Tiger hits the field, if USF hasn't prepared ( missing M20 mines, Jacksons, P47), Tiger will rape everything 25- ... "fair" fight starts Alternative: -Tiger Ace: Ostheer press the "instant-button" Alternative end 1: Ostheer makes a mistake (losing a gren squad in the earlie game)-> USF win notices: USF losing sth. is not important. Alternative end 2: Ostheer has lost to many VPs so the Tiger not even gets on the field In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Tiger Ace19 Jan 2015, 14:43 PM In my opinion, the late Tiger Ace get punished by the soviet call in meta in the mid game. For example T34-85s just give the soviet player a oportunity window to get a huge advantage against P4s of the Ostheer player. I think T34-85 is the kind of tanks I fear most, when I play TA. Often I had to face around 4 of them when the TA hits the field and that is a real thread for a TA. In combination with mark vehicle they can kill it fast. IS2 is easier to get outmicroed by the TA than 4 T34-85s. For the Soviet Sherman goes the same thing like for T34-85, you have no mark vehicle, but they are easier to get. Edit (after playing some 1 vs. 1 Ost-USF): About USF: there is no way to win with Ostheer against USF without a Tiger Ace or Tiger. That matchup is not the topic here... But it is the point why I defend that TA xD. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Tiger Ace18 Jan 2015, 10:33 AM for me it looks like it itensifys the whole usf-ostheer meta. Ostheer is always on disadvantage until late mid/ late game. Tiger Ace is shifting that a bit more in the super late game In: COH2 Balance

Soviets shouldn't have a problem with it, if they don't go for a heavy lategame tank, it is maybe a wrong commanderchoice. It is easy to find out that the ace is coming..... USF dont have that option. You can only use P47 as a counter. You can go lucky with M20 mines. But maybe these are not very satisfying options. It is again a problem caused by WFA. I think the whole USF vs. Ostheer matchup is messed up. In: COH2 Balance
