Volks are not specialized at anything. And no, Sturmtiger shouldn't suck. It should be buffed. Decrease reload time by a lot and increase range, voila. And the "every other faction" argument doesn't really work because every other faction has 3 vet levels and HQ buildings restricted to HQ sector, among other things. I'll rephrase:unless OKW goes through a pretty big re-think, versatile mediums should not be allowed. Instead buffing of other useless units should happen. OKW being a patchwork faction with a million exceptions to every rule is one of the reasons it's such a mess. The Sturmtiger shouldn't be a stock unit (it's way to specialized), and the huge gap between the PII and PV still needs fixing. Bring OKW in line with the other factions should be the goal instead of continuing to twist ourselves into pretzels. In: COH2 Balance

But a jack of all trades medium defies the whole OKW flavor. (Just like Volks do.) So the Sturmtiger being useless is fine? Like the issue here is that ever faction has a generalist medium but OKW and it shows with how anemic OKW mid game is due to it. Volks don't "defy" the faction flavor, they exemplify it. Units that are unwhelming to start but become excellent as the game progresses. In: COH2 Balance

But when you suck with okw its, Problem 1 2 3 4 and etc. in your words "relearn" how to play. A medium tank isn't gona solve shit if you struggle with these things now. You lack suppressing, kool, pick one of the 2 commanders that grant you an mg34 You lack garrison clearing, fine, pick a commander with infiltration nades. Struggle with mg's, kewl, flank like everybody else. Every other faction must choose a commander to stay competitive, okw is no exception. I mentioned all those things in my post? Like what is the point of this post. Iv never said Allies struggling in 4's is fine. OKW lacking a generalist medium to bridge the gap between the PV and P2 is a thing. In: COH2 Balance
