Thread: Why OKW has resource penalties - Justification?7 Nov 2015, 08:59 AM Wait, 68% of voters want the resource penalty changed or removed. But then 38% of voters want buffed OKW units? Wtf Logic would dictate that the resource penalty should be removed entirely, and that OKW should only have three levels of vet and adjusted costs/tech costs to compensate for the change. That makes the most sense and would make less players feel cheated by. A change like that is highly unlikely to happen though sadly. In: Lobby
Thread: Arnhem Checkpoint Tips as USF?6 Nov 2015, 12:47 PM Jump back to quoted post6 Nov 2015, 12:37 PMzarok47 If you have Riflecompany, use it here (map is practically made for it) As for the map itself, use the flanks as USF, cap cut-off harass fuel and muni etc. Once you have m20/nades/flamers/pack howi you can start focusing on the mid. If, for some reason you wish to not wait for any of that, i can suggest using the garrisons and the green cover to fight the opponent in mid, but when he has a sniper or m42, that is generally not manpower effective. And to answer a question directly, "bunker" down in mid as USF is imo, the fastest way to lose, since you are playing the enenmy's game with a faction known to be aggresive, not defensive. Hope this was helpfull Thanks. I guess I was being maybe a bit too passive in capping "my" side first and just letting them turtle in mid and the other side. I'd then just sorta bash my head against mid then lol. I'll try being more aggressive and attacking where they cap first instead, try and keep them occupied while I move into mid from the other side. Its more a "leave your cover, leave your building right Meow!" Armor is far more potent than Rifle. Why isn't Armor banned then? Why aren't all flamers banned in tourneys? In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Arnhem Checkpoint Tips as USF?6 Nov 2015, 11:28 AM I cannot figure out how to play this map as USF, from either starting positions. I realise that holding mid is vital to protect your cutoff and a side of the map, but the opponent always rushes an MG to cover mid. From there its just hard to dislodge them until a Pack Howie, while they harass your cutoff and solidify their position on the fuel and VPs. So I'm always forced to yoyo between one side of the map to the other which isn't good. Any tips on where to focus first? Cap "my" cutoff", rush for their cutoff, or bunker down in mid and go from there? In: COH2 Gameplay

Ostheer already has this, and it's not imbalanced. Further, it's already a doctrinal option at 1 cp so it's clearly not imbalanced now. The only thing would change if MG's are not doctrinal is that players don't have to choose between call in infantry and mgs. Why would this necessitate a t0 mortar? USF can already handle OST which has a t0 mg, and there's no major imbalance in that matchup. I would recommend giving OKW a try at this point. Does Ostheer have a Pak40 and schreks in T0 or even T1? How does USF reliably counter MGs? Think about it man.. I'm fine with the MG34 being doctrinal. A T0 mortar would be needed because it would be nearly impossible to break MG spam with schrek volks and doctrinal infantry milling around them. Otherwise USF would have to always tech captain and build multiple expensive Howies to have some kind of chance. The game would already be over by then. In: COH2 Balance
