Thread: Balance Preview Update 09/08/20159 Sep 2015, 09:12 AM I kind of feel fooled by the Tiger buff and veterancy nerf. This barely changes anything. The range is still the same with veterancy. The only thing that has changed is more penetration. Tbh. that stat is not really needed on the Tiger. I would have preferred a buff to the health or armor. This patch is not going to make me build Tigers. Instead I´m probably going to be stuck in the good old Elefant doctrine versus anything and everything. In: Lobby

Especially with 50 and 60 range units (AEC, Comet, Firefly, 6pounder, 17 pounder). I feel it just doesn´t have any shock value whatsoever any longer. In particular: It does not seem like a heavy tank. It dies very fast. Also I don´t want to see it become a copy pasted IS-2. The range increase seems reasonable. In: Lobby

The KT can keep the range buff IMO as it gets no range buff through vet. What for? So it´s only better on vet 0 and 1? Nice pseudo-buff. Not a set multiplicative percentage. So really they should just lower that modifier to 5. That wouldn´t make sense. Currently even a vetted Tiger is underwhelming. To just buff it, to then nerf the vet bonuses is not what this unit needs. Sure, you have more range on vet 0 and 1 but that´s hardly of any use. The combination of the 45 range and the +10 range on vet is what would actually make the unit useful! There aren´t going to be overpowered Tigers everywhere on the field. It first needs to gain vet. There are going to be players who are rewarded for keeping the unit alive. On the contrary I would suggest giving the IS-2 200 dmg. In: Lobby

Can you explain please? I can see that the ammo conversion is good for Schrecks, MG spam + Mines. But that all works better with the Osttruppen doctrine + you can spam Fausts and Bunkers with the Osts. All the aircraft in CAS don´t seem stronger versus Brits than versus the others. And the Stuka dive might even be countered by brace (not sure here). In: COH2 Balance

I don't feel safe going 1v1 against it when I play wehr anyway. Hard to penetrate and it can hit the Panther back even frontally. Though that´s more a problem of the Panther than with the Churchill. The rof on the Panther is ridiculously low. This leads to strange situations in which Panzer IVs are better anti tank than Panthers. For the Churchill: I guess two StuGs should handle it well. This however doesn´t help the general liability of Ostheer T4. Tbh. in 10 1v1 games played vs the British since release I have only faced Comets so far though. Not a single Churchill.
