Thread: 5 man gren g43 blobs14 Dec 2018, 12:10 PM Seeing that you have to invest 60 ammunition for each squad to be 5 men and then only have one G43 while other factions can purchase Bars and Brens for that ammunition, I think the 5 men squads are balanced. You also invest a commander ability slot and give up doctrinal lategame gimmicks with the infantry commander. In: COH2 Balance

Are we talking about the concrete bunkers in the new Def doctrine or the regular Ost bunkers (holes with wood) that we have since release? For the latter we already have the skin/ unit. Thread: Why such a short range of IS2?!9 Dec 2018, 10:51 AM Can't believe nobody mentioned the IS-2s biggest flaw: The gun had to be set into the original position to be able to reload. Tank combat in WW2 however usually was about trial and error; overshooting or undershooting the target and adjusting accordingly. The 2nd or 3rd shot would usually hit the target. This couldn't be done with the IS-2 since the gun would have to be readjusted with every shot which took time and you could lose track of the target. Example: As for the balance discussion I would like to see the respective heavy tanks have their own roles. Tiger and IS-2 shouldn't be mirrored. IS-2 should have 240 dmg, slow reload and very good performance against soft targets while the Tiger should have a range advantage and perform good against armor and tanks alike (just not as good as the IS-2 vs infantry). Thread: King Tiger - Is it worth buying?4 Dec 2018, 21:24 PM The KT has its uses and I would even call it meta in case the Schwere WH-Schlepper has been taken out. Instead of having to spend an additional 120 fuel for your next regular tank you can go for the KT for about the same cost. Problems with the KT are: 1) Commando-Panther blocks the slot and is meta. 2) The OKW Panzer IV has equal/ better anti infantry (especially with vet) for half the cost. Ever since they adjusted the KT main gun its potential to kill off infantry is just mediocre. And that was the main reason to get the KT. To solve that it could use some better offensive vet bonuses. This would at least give players some long term motivation to consider a KT over a Panzer IV. To fix the issue with it being a replacement unit for all other tanks when T3 is down make it buildable from T3 (as an additional requirement to having the trucks called in at least once). When facing an MG that is placed in front of a building or simply an enemy force that is about to win a fight you can simply spawn them behind it. I have killed countless snipers with that on retreat aswell. In: COH2 Gameplay

You are probably refering to the 105mm commander. That is a viable choice. Usually if a Brit is involved I wait a bit with the doctrinal choice so I can go for that commander. The obvious downside is that you have the doctrines blocked and have to have the 105mm in your loadout. Other counters are LeIGs which can work but are risky or well coordinated attacks with your teammate. Triggering a brace and following up with a Volks Flamm-Nade. I don't feel like it is that big of an issue any longer. Though on certain maps the mortar pit is surely an annoyance. In: COH2 Balance
