Thread: Soviet Snipers24 Aug 2014, 14:51 PM I like to play okw on my own, but there is a one thing that makes me cry: soviet snipers. They are kind of OP, because as okw you have a lot of troubles to kill them if soviet player went for guards as well (and pretty everyone get them nowadays). Today I decided to test this strat, played like 5 matches, lost only once due to my snipers beign chased down and killed by a puma (I've made a mistake by not supporting them with my guards and they went down on retreat). Here is an example how destructive this sniper/guards combination is. I've played against this dude before so he knew what to expect. He adapted his strategy, tried to flank me with jaginf spawned behind my line, he tried luchs, isg, but eventually couldnt do much before my t34/85 arrived. I've managed to bleed him the whole game without loosing even one sniper squad. In: Replays

His mortars were driving me crazy, I've managed to take 2 of them down together with med truck and 1 rifle squad with my puma suicidal push in early game. At that point i thought he will just give up, but he regrouped and gave me hell of a fight. It was close till the end. I was converting my ammo into fuel so I was able build not one, not two, but 3 king tigers (I suck at microing them). Actually that was first time I've built king tiger in any 1v1. In: Replays

Pretty good. Reinforce cost is a pain right now, but they're great to keep around on spotting duty. Vet gets them passive cloak in cover, to boot. No hold fire, though, which I lament. i see. and totally no nades, which is kind of strange. i've used them few times on compstomps just to check it out and they seem to die pretty quick.
