I like cheese and original strats, but currently "conventional" play is just a sure loss against odd strats that doesn't require any kind of micro.

just because people play the game differently than you would want them to doesnt make it unfair or an exploit. soviet t1 + callins has been a tried and tested strategy, and its one of the many viable strategies that the soviets can play. competitive games are all about min/max, so you really shouldnt bash people for using strategies that are most optimal to the way they play. while its true okw have a really tough time countering snipers, there are a variety of really soft counters that they can use to maybe kill them. luchs, obers, stuka, JLI/Falls, and most importantly using line of sight and flanking. however it really is up to the player to use game sense, their own personal skill in executing an operation, and a little bit of luck. i would hate to see this game turn into a game where theres only 1 or 2 builds that really work because people expect that kind of game. its always good to have a variety of options available even if the player base may think it 'cheese'. We should stop looking at rankings and W/L ratios of players and think about the avg player. A person of equal skill on allies vs an OKW player will loose, simple as that. if you decrease its health it becomes EVEN more susceptible to offmap and onmap artillery. Onmap artillery (mortars and howitzers) are pretty effective against the truck, since continuous bombardment will not allow the sturmpioneers to repair it since they risk getting wiped. Also you CAN theoretically counter the flak HQ with 1 at gun, you just have to be careful for when the OKW player decides to counter attack. attacking with 2 different AT weapons (at gun, tank etc) is suggested. it is risky. you risk losing your late game unit production structure. obers and panthers are the backbone of the OKW late game, and losing the ability to produce those is a huge blow. In: COH2 Balance |

also nerfs and buffs can be pretty subjective at times. like theres clear nerfs, where a dps is lowered or something, but then also like role changes and things can also be considered nerfs as well. for example i think the JLI change a few patches ago was a nerf but others might not think so, etc etc. In: COH2 Balance |
