That soundcard looks fancy. How are the Creative drivers these days? Do they suck any less now?

$100 for a 120GB SSD now? Dayummm... nice deal.

Creative Drivers are fine, i have the same card and its nice. It is not the fanciest one either, they have several Soundblaster Z's.

$100 for a 120GB SSD is standard these days. You can get them as low as $80 sometimes.

Motherboard ASUS Z87-PRO $180

Sound Card Sound Blaster Z $95

Is the onboard sound not good enough? I've not bought a sound card in over a decade I think..

Onboard sound is meh. I recently had to test my onboard sound in COH and it sounded pretty muddy and bland. It works, but you can certainly hear a large difference with a good sound card.

Hm, I guess I should try it out

I would chose between an Auzentech or Asus sound card. Asus for music and Auzentech for gaming.

Asus has great music cards, but the new Soundblaster Z's are the tits for gaming. Auzentech still only has X-Fi solutions which are not at the same level as the Z. The higher end SB Z's also have replaceable opamps etc if you wanted to get fancy.
