They're making possible to lose the game objective to the AI instead of only "I really fucked up and now I don't have the money to build a defence to the armies arrayed against me, GG." I can get behind that.

And i foolishly though we will get XVII century or maybe China in a age of three kingdoms becouse why in earth CA would make another warhammer so early?

It is the first standalone expansion.

They have a separate team working on the next historical title. It is in full production right now.
