Someone (who isn't me) bought the game with a vpn from russia for 20€.
Definately worth it for a beta, which is already less buggy & more interesting and balanced that a 3 years old game like coh2

I liked only RUSE from this developer. Newer games looked too 'wargame' for me: all that crew moral states, shooting at km distances etc. Is this one more casual than Wargame™?

it is more casual than old wargame, less arty spam and still tactical.

Micro is also very important to win, just like in coh2.

Infantry feels useless on this game, outside of maybe maps that have a lot of stuff they can use to sneak in unnoticed.

Steep learning curve, but very enjoyable once you learn it. Can´t see myself coming back to Coh2 now :(

If you purchased any Paradox product between May 17 and today (including pre-orders of Steel Division: Normandy 44 made before May 17), in any currency except USD (where prices were not changed), a free copy of a full PC game or two DLC, as a gesture of goodwill.

Since I mainly play games for the multiplayer experience could anyone tell me whether there is any viable automatching or quick matching for steel division?

Yep, but with low player base.

You can get custom games very quickly depending on what time of day it is. Custom games are better right now since there is no map veto atm and you could be badly mismatched.
