Ice doesn't work like that i'm afraid, Tanks will still sink even if really shallow water (Ice mechanics). And i don't have any other clue how to make water look like "ice", any ideas anyone?

Personally I'd only consider keeping the ice if it were not a very common path. If tanks and infantry had no choice but to cross the river (no bridges or land bridges), I would definitely swap it out for water.

If however the ice is a shortcut that players can choose whether or not to take, ice can add that extra risk factor.

Something that I was planning a while back is to have a partially frozen river that allowed access to some areas in the early game, but as time went on, it allowed more opportunities as it froze entirely.

Well actually relic uses "shallow ice" in a few map to offer safe crossings, ex: Pripyat Winter, here's a video example were two kts are on a frozen lake one has shallow water beneath it and the other one has deep water beneath it. if there is any deep water beneath a unit it will sink when the ice cracks.

This isn't true. I accomplished non sinking ice in one my 2v2 maps, and it will still work like ice, but without the sinking. It is essentially the same concept as shallow water that you can traverse.

Yes, there is a certain threshold that units will always be able to cross, but I cannot remember it, just use the impass overlay to see when it becomes walkable

Updated the map with shallow water, should be fine now. Maybe i should make 2 areas where its dangerous to cross with a tank?

Could you submit this for review in this forum please? Do not include the screen shots so we can avoid clutter. TY. I will get to review your map in the coming week.
