So apparently the Stun grenades from doctrines such as Elite Troops can influence the emplacements. I couldn't say for sure since it's a draw of straws for me when going with randoms but I noticed the effect icon pop up when a stun nade hit the bofors. Should this be the case, perhaps the dreaded brace skill can be canceled early, no?
Hopefully someone who owns the doctrine can test it out to see if it's true.

I lobbed 2 sets into a Bofors & killed it from half health.
Dunno if it was braced though.
