Some posts just dont get the respect they deserve. A +1 button for posts, akin to the facebook like button, would be awesome. Save people the effort of spamming +1 replies for the posts they like and tack on a simple button and counter next to the post timestamp say.
This would draw peoples attention to the posts that the general community agree with or simply enjoy and gauge positive reactions..
It would encourage lurkers to sign up and stay signed in too. Anonymous +1ing is super simple and is an interactivity of the site that could become the most utilised.
