recieve accuracy increase when blobing

so i was thinking. if im to shot 1 guy thats way harder then shooting a whole gang.

i sugets like an aura that units in close proximatie of one another like 2+ they wil al get a small recieve accuracy decrease. so they unit inside that blob is easer to hit.

more realistic sins 1 bullit wil have higher % to hit a person in a blob then a singel person.

it wil promote more 2 unit squads comming from difrent directions insted of just a blob of for example 5 rifle man of 4 volks and 2 obers


2+ units within like 10 meter is 10% more recieve accuracy
3+ units within 10 m is like 15%
ect
ect


thoughts?

Hello.

Blobbing is already punishing enough, no need to add more disadvantages. While i do agree that a Accrecieved aura is fluff-correct, it is adding another penalty where there is already a lot.

Once again, no, becasue how you decide when there is a blob?

Maxim and Cons behind green cover with mortar behind them - 3 squads close to each other but still no blob etc.

This is very bad approach.
Still, blobs can be kill quite easily.

It's not enough they give you so many ways to counter blobs? You want them to be automatically countered for you?

Blobbing is a disadvantage. if you can't exploit it then that's a l2p issue

Recurring thema sadly.
I think that if you go to the thread list, you cannot miss a page without a "nerf OP blob" in the title, what a waste of space and time discussing this endless l2p issue.

Maybe we could build a section about "common misconception of the game" that we could point each time a thread pop.

I think it is a l2p issue when you're playing against one enemy. However as most of you know, team games are the most played. That's when blobbing becomes an issue. Just my opinion...

I think this is a great idea. It's also realistic (if realism ever counted as something good in an RTS game). Maybe have it so that bullets from rifles can pass through 1 infantry model and do damage to a model behind it? Just a thought.

Blobbing is fine. Volks with Shrecks are not which are the result of bad design.

A good player with good micro blobbing is actually not easy to fight off, but that's the point it should not be easy to just sit around with defensive positions and win which takes less skill than blobbing and ultimately isn't really a viable line of play.

And there are a lot of counters to blobs especially if they utilize forward bases that you can arty after you force them to retreat( which can immediately win you the game) most specifically with USF and OKW

Teching system of games means factions don't always have blob counters.

Sov T1, Captain, Mech HQ.

Yeah it's counterable but you have to put in 10x the effort to counter an okw blobber currently.

Think of blobs like you think of tanks: of somebody doesnt have at, his opponent should rush a tank and take the advantage of it. If someone strategy lacks mgs or artillery, he can be countered by a blob. So its not enough that you have AI and AT, we also need new term that every strategy needs: AB.
