It's something that should get adjusted once ukf receives other buffs. Currently the most (and really only) viable brit play relies on the quick Cromwell.

My place in the ladder is irrelevant as long as I am matched with opponents of the same rank and play all factions (balance at place 1000+ is no different from balance in top 100 if we consider what I said before the brakets) so I don't care about your assertion which is also irrelevant.

the only nerf the cromwell should ever take is the gun penetration.
its speed and smaller size is what allow it to remain viable even into the late game against the axis.
The sherman technically have better a better gun, but its size and slower speed doom it to mediocrity.

Leave my Cromwell alone. I love this unit because I get more kills through crush than with the main gun.
Also the Cromwell is a crutch brits really need in the moment.

Guess this is the next nerf crusade then. By my reckoning the Cromwell and the Vickers are the only two stock brit units that haven't been nerfed one way or another since launch.
I've never really got much out of the Cromwell personally. Always felt a bit random if a shot would land or not against inf, and has to run from volks with shrecks. Never cared much for crush as a mechanic either.

Problem:
- As fast as the kubel
- Bounces panther peanuts as if there is no tomorrow
- Pooped out Too early
Solution:
- Increase the cost to 350/125
You know that panther has 240 pen while cromwell has 160 armor? So even if it had 1.5x more armor it would still get penetrated 100% of times. Just stop making those stupid threads.

I'm not even saying its armor/penetration/speed/whatever should be nerfed, it's totally alright where it is, performance-wise. But a slightly higher fuel cost would be appropriate, because it's currently more cost effective than most other medium tanks.
That said, I agree that Brits have quite a few other problems at the moment, and those should obviously be fixed at the same time.

Very true. I always find myself thinking ''maybe I should get a BOFORS or an AEC?'' then decide that these units are so decidedly mediocre that manning it up until I can get a Cromwell for the shock value is a way better use of my fuel.
If the Cromwell needs any change in its timing or performance, it needs to come along a buff to UKF, especially their mid-game.

p4 should have same penetration as cromwell. Short dick sherman has more penetration than the long barreled p4. Which makes no goddamn sense.
Oh yeah! MG42 has armor penetration rounds with 7.92mm rounds but .50CAL can't penetrate vehicles with 12.7mm rounds that were designed to rip planes and vehicles to shreds. Same old story...
They're trying to create balance... not realism. Otherwise, we know which tank, which MG, which mortar is superior.
