What I want from the new commander system, if it exists - no units locked behind doctrines (all unlocked in tiers) and strictly a selection of abilities and upgrades to choose from. *Squints and scowls in a pained and reflective way*.

They are working towards this slowly I think-all vehicle call-ins should be attached to teching, all other call-ins should be more abilities than they are call-ins: think Paras, Partysans, JLI, Guards Assault Group, etc.

What I'm saying though, is that I think all units should be part of the base armies that are now within commanders. The custom commander choices would be between abilities, off-maps, and upgrades for those units.
